Euphorbia room

Euphorbia is a houseplant that many housewives in apartments probably have. Few people know that the family of euphorbia has about 2,000 species. Many of which can be grown at home. From this comes the name Euphorbia indoor, but it is more prefabricated, and does not apply to one species. Because of this, you can often see this name in such species as Euphorbia milia , Euphorbia biloba and others.

A houseplant euphorbia does not require any exclusive care, it is unpretentious and durable.

Under the name Euphorbia indoor, many species of this plant are hidden, one of which is poinsettia. This is a beautiful plant that usually blooms on Catholic Christmas and may be called the Star of Bethlehem. When it blooms, small flowers and bright red leaves appear on it, which are located in the shape of a star. This species does not like dry and hot apartments, many people just throw it away when it stops blooming.

The houseplant euphorbia prefers bright light; it is best to place it on the window sills, which are located in the south, in the south-west. The temperature in the summer is 20-25 degrees, in the winter - 12-16 degrees. Watering should be moderate, in winter you need to water once a month. When a plant blooms, it should not dry out.

Euphorbia indoor (exclusion of poinsettia) normally tolerates dry air. Nevertheless, you need to spray the plant.

When the plant blooms, it is recommended to feed it twice a month. You can use fertilizer for indoor plants or fertilizer that contains potassium for top dressing. There are species that are not blooming, they can be fed with conventional fertilizer for cactus. In autumn and winter, you do not need to feed the plant.

The optimal soil for milkweed is a mixture of sand, peat, leaf and sod land (everything is taken in equal quantities).

Euphorbia propagates by cuttings or seeds. It is impossible to propagate in such a way only white-veined euphorbia and puffy euphorbia. If propagation occurs by means of cuttings, the wound of the cut plant should be dried in the fresh air (12-48 hours) and sprinkled with activated carbon. Gloves should always be worn before cutting, as the milk of milk can cause a burn on the skin.

Transplanting milkweed is best in spring. Recommended to transplant the plant every two years. The pot should not be taken too large, it should be a little larger than the plant itself.

With improper care, milkweed can drop leaves. This situation most often occurs due to abundant watering or lack of it. Maybe the plant is too cold. Also, do not pour milkweed with cold water. Abundant watering can lead to rotting of the roots. If the leaves began to turn yellow or turn pale, then the milkweed lacks lighting. The plant is also afraid of drafts.

If you provide proper care, milkweed can grow to a height of 1.8 meters. Every year, such a plant will delight its owners with beautiful flowers. The plant lives for a very long time, but grows slowly.

With proper care, you protect the plant from various diseases and parasites. When aphid attacks the plant, it stops its development, the leaves begin to curl, turn yellow and fall off. A worm (powdery root) will infect the root system. The plant should be constantly monitored to identify diseases. Today, there are many drugs that can cure any disease and destroy any parasite in the shortest possible time. The main thing in time to identify the disease.

Provide proper care, and the plant will delight the whole family with wonderful flowering for many years.
