Let's start making paper fish by exploring the art of origami. This is the ability to create images by repeatedly folding a paper sheet according to some principles. They are as follows:
- Following the pattern (for a beginner).
- Precision and accuracy.
- Persistence in acquiring skills.
After a few lessons for beginners, anyone is able to master a simple pattern, such as a fish pattern. But you just need to devote a little time every day to acquiring skills in order to be able to do more complex things from paper, for example, origami is modular.
Origami for children. New impressions
The simplest origami is a fish. The craft scheme is understandable and does not require any skills at all. If you want to introduce your child to some form of creativity from an early age, you need to start with simple crafts created by hand.
Origami "Fish", the scheme of which will be interesting for a 5-6 year old child, we will definitely give. But besides fish, there are other bright paper crafts.
Origami "Fish". Scheme
The first fish, the scheme of which we describe, is interesting and simple at the same time. It is called the Goldfish. We look at the diagram carefully. It shows a sequence of steps.
The first 4 steps are clear. These are preparatory folds. On the 5th and 6th figure there are also no complex movements. We make deflections along the lines and twist the corners as arrows indicate. At the 7th stage, the deflection is double. And in figure 8 the scissors are indicated. You need to cut the paper along the dash-dot line on both sides. Next, you need to properly tighten the bottom corner. Then everything is simple - we turn the triangle on the other side to make a tail, make fins, glue the eye on the side. This is the origami goldfish. The scheme is one of the simplest.
Such paper fish are suitable for an artificial aquarium in a regular 3-liter jar. Hang a few of these crafts on the plastic cover. You will get an aquarium in a jar, you do not need to feed the fish in it at all.
There are other interesting types of origami fish, like this model with a long tail.
When you master the previous scheme, you can get acquainted with the scheme of this fish, if it is difficult, then you should find a video instruction where all the moments of the assembly are more understandable.
How to make modular origami?
Modular origami is more complicated than usual, as it requires preparation. First, hundreds of small triangular modules are made, and then they are assembled according to a certain scheme into the desired figure.
The fish collected using the modular origami technique are quite diverse. Limiting your creativity is just the time you can set aside. For example, we describe several well-known and cute modular fish.
Modular origami "Fish". Ball fish pattern
A very common origami fish model that looks like a ball with fins. It is called origami a fish ball. The scheme is complicated for those who first try their hand at modular origami. After all, you have to tinker with small details, while your fingers learn to quickly and deftly handle them.
Everyone can imagine a ball and build this figure out of modules - this is how modular origami βFishβ is created. A circuit as such is not required. Just make sure that the pattern is followed, and all rows are even. It will take 27-30 rows. The amount depends on what the diameter of your ball will be. Usually the center consists of 27 modules.
This fish will take you a lot of time and effort. The dorsal fin is separately built, the lateral and tail fins are separately built. It takes time for a beginner to figure it out. The ball fish also has a magnificent tail. It is made by the circuit shown in the picture.
More practical tips on assembling this double tail can be found on the pages of some modular origami master class, but the layout is the same.
Other fish options from the modules
Modular origami is an endless play of forms. Many people who have long been engaged in folding origami come up with their own schemes, even more interesting than the classic ones. There are also the most complex schemes, numbering 2,000 modules each, and there are schemes that newcomers came up with, and they are characterized by unprecedented simplicity.
For example, a mini-fish is known, consisting of a minimum number of modules. We describe how such a modular origami is made. The fish, the assembly scheme of which is so simple that it takes literally several hours, is very colorful and will appeal to children of kindergarten age. And sometimes less time is needed if the necessary number of parts is prepared in advance. A total of 101 modules are needed. Of these, 49 are green, 27 are yellow and 25 are brown. The colors of the parts take those that you have.
We begin to collect the fish from the head. 2, then 3 modules are attached to the first and only part of the first row. We reach up to 8 modules, alternating colors as in the picture. At this stage, starting from the 9th row, the body of the fish stops growing. We form fins for our fish, and then the craft decreases, until again one detail remains. The tail is attached to the last unit. Lastly, we glue fish eyes.
A little enthusiasm and time spent on preparing and studying the scheme, and in your room a wonderful product will appear on the dressing table. You can experiment with colors and tail length. You can diversify the scheme and make more beautiful fins.
