With the advent of the WoW 5.2 update, the players themselves were able to feel the spirit of the ancient civilizations of Pandaria: Mogu, Zandalari and many others. Many quests on this unusual continent are devoted to the struggle against the echoes of the past. One of the most mysterious and threatening locations in this patch is located on a long-forgotten island. In this article, we will look at how to get to the island of Thunder and how this can turn out for gamers.
Island history
Update 5.2 for World of Warcraft players was marked by the opening of a new location in northwest Pandaria. The island of Thunder, that is what it was called by the developers, was previously a mountain on the edge of the continent. After one of the most brutal rulers of the Mogu named Lei Shen was killed, the capital from Thunder Mountain was moved to the Everlasting Dol, and the place itself was abandoned for many years. As a result of the disaster, known as the "Great Split", the mountain sank beneath the water, leaving only its peak on the surface. It was she who became the haven of Lei Shen who returned from oblivion.
The story does not end there. Players will have to unravel the secrets of the island of Thunder for a long time. The help will come from those united by the idea of overthrowing the factions from the dead Lei Shen: the Kirin Tor Army and the Sunreaver Troops. In addition, support will be provided by the Pandaren Order “Onslaught of Shando-Pan”. On the side of the emperor who has risen from the dead, bloodthirsty zandalars will fight - trolls who have learned to enslave the dynamants and other bloodthirsty creatures.
A threat at every turn: what players will see on the island
Before you get to the island of Thunder, gamers should find out what can be expected from this place. Firstly, in a relatively small area of the island, they are waiting for a huge number of quest-deyliks (more than 200!). Of course, it will be possible to receive them “in dosage": 5-10 per day. It should be noted that the developers paid attention to all areas of the game: PvP players can choose tasks in their direction, and fans of PvE battles will continue to fight with mobs.
Secondly, on the island you can get ritual stones of Shanze. With their help, rare bosses can be called up, for the victory over which players will receive an appropriate reward. By the way, the island of Thunder is crowded with "rarniki" and other powerful creatures. Some mobs drop the keys to Lei Shen's treasury. Penetrating into it, the player risks being killed by multiple electrical discharges, beating next to the chests. But if he is lucky, he will come out very wealthy.

The third circumstance that makes the island of Thunder a place rich in mining is the world boss Nalak. Guarding the gates of the citadel, behind the walls of which Lei Shen is hiding, but violently rushes at everyone who dared to disturb his peace. Nalak's filling is very diverse: mount, armor, raincoats and accessories for PvP sets. In addition, by attacking Nalak, the player will be able to complete the Wrathion quest to get the legendary cloak. The Throne of Thunder raid dungeon is also located here, from the bosses of which you can get the most relevant armor for all classes.
How to get to the island of Thunder: quest
The easiest way to travel to Thunder Island is to get the Thunder and Lightning quest. It is given to all players who have reached level 90 in the game. Following directions, the character must move to Townlong Steppes, located west of the sanctuaries of the Horde and the Alliance in Pandaria. It is there that the Shando-Pan garrison is located, to the side of which there are portals to the island of Thunder. It is impossible not to notice them, as several dragons with delicate reddish-pink wings soar next to them.
Are there any routes to the island?
Many players have probably thought about whether there are still ways to get to the island of Thunder, except for portals. Unfortunately, there are no direct air routes to this location. Only at the risk of dying in the waters of the ocean from fatigue, the player can go to the island on his own.
