If your child is imagining, then you should not worry too much about this. As a rule, with competent upbringing, due attention to the child and his harmonious development, the desire to show off, show oneself the best, passes by itself with age. Just let the little imagination understand that, firstly, you love him for who he is, and secondly, that modesty adorns a person, and boasters evoke only unpleasant feelings, and no one has the desire to communicate with such people.
Of course, there is nothing wrong with the fact that the child wants to show his best side. Therefore, teach him to be proud of his merits, but not to exaggerate them and, most importantly, not to put himself above others, even with extraordinary successes.
