There is a variety of cherries called Fatezh. This low tree grows up to three meters and gives an abundant crop of aromatic and tasty berries. Culture begins to bear fruit from the fifth year of life. A tree older than ten years is capable of producing more than 40 kilograms of berries per season. This plant is also an excellent element of decor in the country. Cherry Fatezh is more suitable for the capital of Russia and the Moscow region.
This culture does not tolerate weeds, therefore it is necessary to constantly clean the topsoil around the trunk. The trunk space freed from weeds in the second year of cultivation should be at least one meter in diameter. Over the next three years, it is expanded to half a meter. At the same time, it is necessary to
mulch the soil annually
.Fatezh - sweet cherry that does not require heavy watering. It is good enough to moisturize it three to four times a season. Before watering, they make loosening the trunk circle and fertilize the soil. Abundant spraying of cherries with honey solution during the flowering period will create conditions for effective pollination. Thanks to this, productivity will rise.
During the growth of young trees, it is recommended to break small beds between them. It is best to
grow phacelia and mustard on them, as these crops are excellent honey plants and attract bees.
Fatezh (cherry) loves sunny places, as well as fertile soil. The plant does not tolerate clay and deeply sandy soil, does not like windy places. Cherry is best planted at least two or three different varieties having the same flowering time. This is due to the fact that the plant is cross-pollinated. A great option would be to plant Fatezh cherries in the neighborhood of cherries, as cherry pollen will perfectly pollinate cherry flowers.
Seedlings in the southern regions are planted in the fall. Sweet cherry in the suburbs and more northern regions are planted in the spring.
Preparing the soil for
planting trees, you need to know that the horizontal roots of an adult plant are located at a depth of 30-80 centimeters, while the vertical ones are deepened to a distance of more than two meters. Therefore, before
planting trees, it is necessary, in addition to pits, to carry out planting plowing at the site of planting the garden.
The depth of the pits for seedlings should be at least 80 centimeters and a width of 1 m. The trees are planted at a distance of about five meters from each other. It is not worth saving on the spot, as with a small distance of planting, the crowns of adult trees will obscure and crush the rest of the plants.
Sowing different different crops between the rows is desirable for cherries, because in winter they will protect the southerner from the cold.
Fatezh (cherry) is fed with slurry (1/8), a complex diluted fertilizer intended for fruit and berry crops (one hundred grams per bucket of water), as well as an infusion of ash on water (1/10).
A nutrient solution is poured around the periostemal circle, which is cleared of weeds. Fertilizers do not pour to the base, but distribute along the perimeter, since old roots are not able to absorb nutrients.
Every spring, Fatezh (sweet cherry) is cut off before the swelling of the kidneys. In this case, broken and dried branches are removed, and the slices are processed with a special
garden var.
