Such is the lobelia. Growing seedlings is the topic of our conversation today.
How to grow lobelia? This flower is very gentle and loves the owners of the patient and persistent. This is how lobelia grows. Growing seedlings is the most painstaking and difficult job, just necessary to get beautiful flowers that will always delight your mistress. It is here that the most unexpected difficulties and pitfalls can await, but if you do everything that this delicate, but at the same time demanding flower wishes, then the amazing and refined beauty will certainly respond to kindness with beautiful flowering.
How to grow lobelia, or rather, its seedlings, so that it is healthy and strong? To do this, you will need trays, flat boxes, a watering can with a strainer, glass or film, a little fertile soil and, of course, seeds.
Small lobelia seeds are sown in shallow flat boxes, not dusting them with earth, but simply superficially. Before sowing, you can pour a small layer of snow over the soil, and already sow seeds on it. This will prevent the thickening of crops. If you take a simple toothpick - some amateur growers do it, moisten its tip and lower the toothpick into the seeds and into the ground, then you can achieve uniformity in crops, which in this case will be arranged in small heaps.
After sowing, the box or tray must be covered with film or glass, sometimes ventilating so that mold does not form, and condensation does not fall down, otherwise the droplets can deepen small seeds into the ground. The temperature in the trays with crops should be maintained within 18 degrees Celsius, then the seedlings will appear in one to two weeks.
Sprouts need to be watered, but only very carefully, otherwise they can simply be washed off with water. To do this, you need to water through a tray or using a conventional medical syringe with a needle. This is necessary so that the topmost layer of the earth remains dry, then the infamous โblack legโ, the scourge of seedlings of all colors, will not touch the seedlings.
As soon as the first true leaves appear, lobelia is picked. You can dive seedlings not one at a time, but immediately in bunches of several pieces. Further, after the lobelia has been picked, the seedlings need to be grown already in a light, cool (but not cold!) Place at a temperature of 12-15 degrees Celsius.
How it grows further lobelia Seedling cultivation is completed, now the plants can be planted in a permanent place. It can be both sunny and shaded places. Landing should be compacted, and the land should be moderately fertile. Then the flowering will be magnificent. And the abundance of organic matter in the soil leads to the fact that there is more greens than flowers.
Ampel lobelia is planted in balcony boxes, filling the boxes with garden soil, which is sold in flower shops. The soil in the crates should be slightly moist at all times.
In autumn, the best plants can be dug up and, after planting them in pots, brought home. They will delight the eye with beautiful bloom until late autumn.
