Difference of GVL from drywall

Advantages of gypsum fiber over other finishing materials
Due to its composition that does not contain synthetic components, GVL-fabric, like gypsum board, is an absolutely environmentally friendly material.

Excellent fire-resistant properties allow the use of HVL as a protection for wood and other fire hazardous structures.
GVL-cloth can be easily cut with a conventional hacksaw or jigsaw. Therefore, from this building material, you can build a design of almost any configuration.
Another advantage of GVL is the simplicity of transportation and installation of building materials. The relatively small weight of even the dimensional sheets allows the installation of the canvas by one or two people. At the same time, work is carried out in the shortest possible time without loss of finish quality.
Moisture resistant gypsum sheet
Despite the fact that gypsum fiber is sufficiently hygroscopic and absorbs moisture well from air, today the manufacturers of this building material produce a special waterproof look. Moisture-resistant gypsum sheets (GVLV) can be used in rooms with high humidity, for example in a bathroom or a bathroom.
This material is easy to determine even by appearance: as a rule, the sheets have a greenish or grayish tint. For additional protection, it is often treated with various antiseptic and moisture resistant agents.

GVL application
Due to its good performance characteristics, GVL sheets in construction are used for wall cladding, the construction of partitions and the creation of various structures, as well as as a dry floor screed:
- gypsum fiber is mainly used for decoration and construction in residential and industrial premises with normal and low humidity;
- in the presence of good ventilation, the use of this building material in basements and attics is permissible.
- for bathrooms, baths, kitchens and other rooms with a high moisture content in the air, the use of moisture-resistant GVL-cloth is recommended;
- excellent frost resistance allows the use of gypsum fiber for wall cladding of farm buildings - garages, sheds and other unheated buildings;
- gypsum fiber sheet is also used to provide fire protection for walls and structural elements; the use of this material is especially relevant if it is intended to work with wooden structures, since in this case the application of adhesive solutions is not required.
Cost of GVL-lists
Depending on the manufacturer of GVL, the price per sheet may vary slightly. Another factor affecting the cost is the region of sale and, of course, the size of the sheet. The estimated cost of typical plates (1500 x 1200 mm, 2500 x 1200 mm) varies from 390-600 rubles.
At the same time, gypsum fiber sheet from a Russian manufacturer, as a rule, is somewhat cheaper. However, many professionals urge not to save on this material and to purchase expensive, but at the same time, higher-quality GVL imported for construction.
