How to grow hyacinth at home. Classic version
First you need to buy hyacinth. Growing it will be successful if the bulb is purchased at the end of summer. Moreover, it should be heavy, and the bottom - perfectly intact. Of course, each such bulb must first be germinated in open ground. Only in this case, at home, you can get a charming plant that pleases the eye.
Only in the month of October (preferably at the very beginning) are the bulbs planted. First you need to prepare the pots and soil. They should be no more than 10 cm in diameter and washed thoroughly. To produce healthy hyacinth, cultivation takes place in sandy soil.
It is necessary to plant the bulb in such a way that its upper part is approximately at the same level with the edges of the pot. Only 2/3 of the bulb remains in the ground. Immediately after planting, hyacinth must be covered with something on top. It can be film or even paper. Often this function is performed by another, empty pot. In this condition, the plant goes cool. There, at a temperature of about 8 degrees sprouts break through for 12 weeks. As soon as small shoots reach at least 9-10 centimeters, the flower is exposed to the burning sun. This usually happens in December.
In a bright room for hyacinth, the temperature should be approximately 25 degrees. And it is often watered and sprayed every day. This continues until the buds appear on the plant. After about a month, hyacinth, the cultivation of which, in principle, does not bring much trouble, begins to bloom. Such beauty lasts about a week 3.
Hyacinth. Growing a house in the water
There is a very interesting way to get beautiful onion hyacinths at home. To do this, it is placed in a vase where there is already water with fertilizers dissolved in it. It is worth considering one point. The bulb should hardly touch the water (just a little). Such a vase with hyacinth should stand in a dark and cool room until the plant takes root in the water. Every 2 weeks, the water changes in the vase. And each time the necessary fertilizers are mixed there for the active growth of the flower.
As soon as the roots appear, the vase enters a bright room in the sunniest place, where the bulb already sprouts and then begins to bloom profusely.
After the hyacinth fades, next year it will be able to give only weak, small flowers at home. However, this is not a reason to be upset. There is always the opportunity to buy new bulbs and plant old ones on a flowerbed in the garden.
