Technical doors are a fairly large group of models made of metal and designed for special rooms. They are used for:
- porch, elevator or vestibule;
- for organization of cash desk (with a window for issuing money);
- in technical rooms, attic and basement, at the entrance to the hozblok;
- for boiler room or switchboard.
Often, metal technical doors are installed in warehouse, industrial, and commercial buildings. They are equipped with modern locks, the class of resistance to breaking which largely depends on the main goals of the customer and the degree of value of the protected object.
In almost every model, a double set of locks is installed - a cylinder structure and a level lock. A similar system of "double protection" prevents mechanical and intellectual hacking. Metal technical doors can be equipped with a peephole, and as an additional protection, locks for removal, armored plates that protect the locks from drilling are installed on the hinges.
Differences from regular doors
What are the main differences between such doors and traditional metal models that we used to see at the entrance to the apartment? First of all, in that, in this case, the main importance is given to functionality, the appearance fades into the background.
When manufacturing metal technical doors, the manufacturer takes into account the requirements that correspond to the room for which they are intended. For example, for boiler rooms and boiler rooms, forced ventilation or glazing is required.
Additional functions
Additionally, the models of this group are equipped with electromagnets, anti-panic locks, latches, selectors, additional gaskets, closers and ventilation grilles.
Metal technical doors are painted by powder spraying using nitro enamel or special paints that have anti-corrosion additives.
Technical metal doors - specifications
This type of door includes fire doors, insulated, non-standard, doors with grating, lightweight, technical doors, manholes, technical gates, doors, two-floor and one- floor doors, etc.
In the manufacture of such doors, the following materials are used:
- sheet steel sheet (from 0.8 to 2 mm);
- galvanized sheet steel (0.8 - 1.5 mm);
- stainless steel (from 0.8 to 1.5 mm);
- combined canvases from wood and MDF;
- extruded plastic or PVC.
Metal technical doors are produced by single-door, double-door and one-and-a-half. They have a different shape, glazing method, decorated with transoms or side windows.
The basis of all models is a steel frame. Steel sheets are welded onto it (2-10 mm). There are designs, the box of which is poured with concrete and as a result forms a monolith with a wall, which has great strength. Such a door cannot be knocked out.
Inside, the structure can be either hollow or containing heat-insulating and sound-insulating material. Finishing can be different - it depends only on the wishes of the customer.
Fire doors
It is especially necessary to dwell on this type of door. Their device involves the use of fire-prevention materials both outside and inside. Their door leaf is made of steel sheets that are difficult to ignite. Their thickness is much greater than that of a standard canvas.
Such fire-rated doors have a box, which is a bent metal profile filled with heat and sound insulating material. Doors are without fail equipped with special fittings and locks. In addition, they have a seal that guarantees the tightness of the structure. There are models with refractory glasses.
Fire doors have a heat-insulating material that fills the free space between two steel sheets. In budget models, its role is played by mineral wool, able to withstand temperatures up to 1000 degrees. In more expensive models, heat-insulating material is refractory foam. It is longer than mineral wool, resists fire and eliminates the penetration of smoke into the room.
