Thuja planting in autumn should begin with preliminary preparation of the pit and soil. There are no specific recommendations on the size of the landing canals. The pit should be two times deeper and three times larger than the earthen lump, in which the root system of the plant is located. After the seedling has been placed in the planting pit, it is covered with earth and rammed with soil with your feet so that a hole is obtained. Next, at least two buckets of water are poured into it. To increase a plant’s chances of survival, it can be treated with “Kornevin” or other growth stimulant. Also do not put anti-stress medications. They spray the crown of the plant. Do not be afraid if the thuja turns yellow after landing. This is quite characteristic of her.
Perhaps it is difficult to disagree with the fact that one of the most capricious plants regarding acclimatization is thuja. Planting and care, the price of which is daily labor, can be reduced to zero if a weak seedling was originally selected. In general, buying any coniferous plant, you need to pay attention primarily to the root system. And more specifically on whether it is completely covered with soil in a pot. It is the integrity of the earthen coma, when the thuja is planted in the fall, often plays a decisive role. When buying, if there is a choice, it is better to purchase a seedling wrapped in burlap. So you can provide him with a greater survival rate.
