In Soviet times, two films were created based on the work “Going to a Thunderstorm”. Belyavsky starred in the role of Krylov, and the role of Tulin was played by the popular actor V. Lanova.
Cinema of 1966 as a whole follows the plot and concept of the author. At the center of the picture is the juxtaposition and comparison of these two people who are so different from each other. This tape is still occasionally shown on television, which suggests that this film adaptation has become a reference. In this picture, the plot is devoted to the opposition of two scientists - romanticism and pragmatist. This topic was popular in Soviet literature and cinema (the film "Nine Days of One Year").
The 1987 film is inferior in that it focuses on the main character, giving Tulin a secondary role. Because of this, the picture has lost a lot, since the psychological opposition has receded into the background. Some actors who played in the first film adaptation, starred in the second film.
