Who were the tactical pants made for?

Today, these pants are especially popular with the military and police, however, they were primarily designed for mountain tourists. Then the trousers were appreciated by builders, lumberjacks and representatives of other professions, who often face physical work outdoors.

And only then they began to spread among the military. Later, female versions of such pants appeared.

What is the difference between tactical trousers and regular trousers?

What caused this popularity? There are several factors, each of which is important and without which tactical pants would be the most common trousers.

First of all, this is the fabric from which they are sewn. It must be a durable material that can withstand not only numerous washing-drying cycles, but also wear in difficult conditions. The most commonly used dense cotton fabric.

Often it is water-repellent, in addition, many models use ripstop material. This is a fabric with complex combined weaving, in the composition of which reinforced thread and other fibers are added, depending on the specific purpose of future products from it. It is extremely resistant to tears, scuffs and cuts, but it is quite light.

Features of the cut

Another distinguishing feature of tactical pants is the durable triple stitches.

In addition, the belt is often made on an elastic band or has special valves with buttons so that it fits tightly in any situation. Also, Velcro is made at the ends of the legs so that they can be tightly fixed on the ankle.

But at the same time, trousers necessarily have slots for the belt, and quite wide. They are especially carefully fortified. This is done so that the owner of the pants can pass through a wide, durable belt and attach weapons or tools to it.

Double tissue on the knees and buttocks is also a fairly common element. It is designed to protect places that wear out the fastest.

And if you often have to kneel at work or during outdoor activities (hunting or paintball), then look for a model with knee pads. They are sewn tightly, and there are options with pockets into which special inserts are inserted.

Everything at hand

Tactical pants allow you to conveniently place all the necessary small items at arm's length. They have at least 7 pockets (two in the front on the belt, two on the buttocks, two on the hips and one pocket for a cell phone or a folding knife on the belt), but there are often options with a large number of pockets.

Popular models

5.11 is an American brand with a long history, which specializes in the production of tactical trousers. The manufacturer has many models for various customer needs. There are pants specifically for military and police officers with additional pockets for weapons, and there are also UTL tactical trousers - that is, tactical urban trousers that differ little from ordinary men's trousers in appearance, but have additional advantages.

For example, model 5.11 Stryke belongs to them - it is made of cotton with a small addition of stretch, so they look quite aesthetically pleasing, fit well on the figure and are very comfortable to wear. In them you can do climbing, and work on a construction site, and ride a bike, and just walk in the park.
