Yuri Korinets: biography and features of the work of the children's writer

Children's literature is a special niche in art. To write for children, it is necessary to have a special gift - to be able to perceive the world through the eyes of a child, to be guided by his interests, to know his psychology. That is why there are not so many children's writers, not every writer has preserved the same vision of the world that is inherent in children. Moreover, children’s poems and prose can be written only by those who have a special talent and can create a vivid picture of the world that the child recognizes and wants to perceive, understand, learn something, empathize with. One of these writers is Yuri Korinets. The biography of the children's Soviet writer is a story about a special, very talented and extraordinary person.

Biographical data

Yuri Korinets
In 1923, on January 14, the son of Yuri was born in the family of German Emma Nagel and diplomat Joseph Korinets. At that terrible time, no one lived well. The Korinets family didn’t get around troubles: in 1937, his father was arrested, and he was soon shot. In the early days of the war, Yuri was called to the front, part of the battles was defeated, and he returned on foot home, to the capital. In front of his eyes, his mother was arrested, and six months later she died in prison. Yuri was sent to Central Asia for trying to protect his mother.

But the young man was not taken aback, did not become embittered, but completely immersed in art in order to escape from the terrible realities of life. First, Yuri Korinets is fond of drawing, graduates from college, becomes a certified artist. But soon the art of not just writing rhymed texts, but creating a special world in which good, love, joy and belief that everything will still be fine, took over the thirst for drawing. Yuri Korinets moves from Samarkand to the capital, enters the Literary Institute. Already in his fifth year, his book “Overheard Talk” is published. Thus began the poetic path of the young writer Yuri Korinets. The biography was very successful: after graduating from the Literary Institute in 1958, many children's books and poems were born.

Features of the poetry of Yu. Korinets

Yuri Korinets biography
The poetic work of the writer is a combination of the immediacy of a child and the wisdom of an experienced person, the combination of sad and funny. In his poems, good is always stronger and always wins. And Yuri Korinets has a special ability to spiritualize any subject. In his poems, the main characters are not only people, but also everything that can be seen around. This is a house with its own habits and character, a modest little steamboat who made friends with the river, which, in turn, really yearns for a friend, an old spruce. The poet’s soul is so pure and bright that he sees a miracle in the most ordinary objects and things and breathes life into them. But the most important miracle is that although inanimate objects and things in the poems of the writer are humanized - they worry, think, dream, talk, have their own destiny - the verses are imperceptibly fabulous, pretended, or fiction. The world that Yuri Korinets created in his works is opened for everyone who reads his poems, makes you rejoice and empathize with the adventures, lives and fate of its inhabitants. But the most important thing is that I want to come back to this world again and again to touch the pure bright relations between the heroes, plunge into the stream of goodness and even become a little better, brighter myself.
