Sicily grapes: features of the variety and care

  • light yellow elongated berries - large, up to 6 cm, with crispy sweet flesh (although a slight sourness is still felt), a pronounced taste of muscat, with one or two seeds and a dense skin.

Sicily is not particularly demanding on the conditions of planting and care. However, a few rules for obtaining high annual yields should still be followed.

  • When planting, exclude clay soil, as well as with a high salt content.
  • Shading is optional - Sicily feels great under the sun.
  • This grape loves moisture, and therefore you need to constantly monitor the condition of the soil even in a temperate climate.
  • During the period of tying the clusters, it is recommended that they be rationed, which will ultimately increase productivity.
  • Autumn pruning of fruiting lashes is necessary.
