Max Payne 3 was developed by Rockstar Vancouver and published by Rockstar North on May 15, 2012 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, as well as June 1 of the same year for the PC. She received quite flattering reviews from critics and gamers, which emphasizes Rockstar's prowess.
Single review
The events of the third part are separated by a very respectable period from the past adventures of Max Payne. Here we find it in sunny Brazil, which is not quite typical for the noir offspring of Remedy. After a couple of minutes of acquaintance with the new part of the series, a dashing and complicated story will fall upon us, which will have to be raked over 14 chapters. In order not to reveal all the intricacies of the plot, we will tell about history only in brief outline. The scriptwriters gave us an amazing crime drama filled with colorful characters and a lot of plot hooks, which will lead you to an unexpected ending. The story is presented with the help of superbly directed commercials performed on an engine with a share of styling for comics. Well, Rockstar developers have always been able to do such a solid job for the top five. An important role in the dynamic presentation of the plot is played by the notorious cinematography, which does not cease to amaze throughout the passage. Believe me, more beautiful shootings with a view from the 3rd person are not resolutely anywhere. Playing on this part of the monitor, you feel like a hero of a Hollywood blockbuster.
The updated RAGE engine is now capable of delivering all the beauty of DirectX 11, which is an absolute advantage of the PC version. The physics engine Euphoria was also finalized, which is responsible for the realistic reaction of characters to bullets falling into them, their interaction with the outside world, and the like. Nevertheless, the most important asset of the game is the gorgeous animation of a protagonist trained to fire from any position. Hand-to-hand combat also appeared, however at a minimalist level. Of course, all this happens in the corresponding scenery, made just fine. There is absolutely nothing to complain about. Each new level is an absolutely independent location of enormous size, and even with a meticulous study of the little things that Rockstar has always been famous for. We will visit everywhere: at the stadium, and in snowy New York, and in the same favela, and in an abandoned hotel, and in the docks. Finally, the entire gameplay is permeated with atmospheric sound in noir style.
The gameplay in the game has changed quite conditionally. Max Payne 3 is still the same corridor shooter without a hint of health regeneration. Of course, a shelter system appeared here, without which now it is nowhere. We also changed the weapon transfer system. Now you can take with you only 2 one-handed weapons and 1 two-handed. In terms of complexity, the new “Max” is fully consistent with the original dilogy. Against the general background of pre-arranged shooters, it is very difficult to complete the game, especially at the hardcore level.
Multiplayer review
Multiplayer in the game turned out to be quite fun and interesting. Everything that happens on the fields of online battles is at a simple and concise level. Maps are quite enough, and their architecture is quite diverse. The arsenal is also in full order. It is worth mentioning that the main feature of the local multiplayer mode is the time dilation, which is included in individual sections of the location, and not on the entire map at the same time. There is customization and simple pumping, where with each new level they give access to weapons, useful things and other equipment. In general, due to a couple of fresh ideas, good balance and unstacked modes, playing online is quite entertaining.
Max Payne 3 System Requirements
After the publication of system requirements by Rockstar, many players became indignant, thinking about bad optimization. Nevertheless, the game was polished to a shine, as you can see by playing it. So, what are the system requirements for Max Payne 3 for low graphics settings?

Technical problems

- Departures or strong lags often occur . First of all, check whether your PC meets the requirements that we specified above. If everything matches, then follow the standard procedures (upgrade the video driver, Microsoft Visual, DirectX, and more). If you are a Steam license holder, check the integrity of the cache. - Max Payne 3 does not start on Windows 8 . Set the compatibility mode to Windows 7. If it does not work, then run as administrator.
- Endless initialization . Restart the OS and reinstall Social Club.
- NSIS error at startup . This error indicates damage to the files of the game, the treatment of which occurs by the complete removal of Max Payne 3 (including Social Club) and reinstallation. Plus, you need to remove the Russian letters on the way to the game folder.

Everyone knows about the Rocktar Games policy regarding localization. The company always invites high-class actors to voice their titles, which prohibits the voicing of games in other languages. The game supports 10 languages, among which, of course, there was a place for Russian. In Max Payne 3, the dubbing remained original, however, Russian subtitles were bolted. It is worth noting that the translation turned out to be quite high-quality, however, the fact is unknown that the Portuguese dialogues were not localized, slightly spoiling the overall impression.

Did Rockstar manage to create the excellent “Max Payne” that we have already seen in Remedy games? The players got an excellent crime thriller, which can only be faulted because of their own bias. Someone will not like the plot, someone will not quite fit the new scenery, and someone will simply get confused in their own desires. In principle, the answer is yes - the studio managed to make a great game. Along with this, the PC version was also highly optimized, which is a rarity in the modern world of the entertainment industry.
