So be prepared, dear mothers, for the fact that at the next New Year's Eve morning, your son will want to appear in their image.
Working on a costume
In order for our musketeer costume to be elegant, in addition to the basic items of the toilet, several bright details are needed:
- figured Christmas "rain" and garlands of golden and silver colors. They will go for a cloak trim and hat decoration;
- elegant lace collar and cuffs. There are several options. You can choose a white women's blouse with lush sleeves and other necessary details. Perhaps there is one in your wardrobe or your acquaintances. Size is not very important because she will be all hidden under a cloak, and only the already indicated parts of the clothes will remain in sight. If you know how to knit, then you can crochet a chic openwork collar and cuffs for a couple of hours, starch, then attach it to the shirt that your son will wear - and your musketeer costume will be inimitable. Well, another option is to buy a beautiful lace in the haberdashery department and sew it on a shirt. In principle, all this is solvable and uncomplicated;
- knickers and a raincoat. Ideally, both pieces of costume should be made of silk, velor or velvet sky blue. If the child is small - garden or primary school age, stitching them will not be expensive, and it will not take much time. The bottom of the trousers must be decorated with cuffs and lace, for elasticity, pull in elastic bands. And if the son moved into adolescence, then it is somewhat more complicated. With a cloak, of course, traditions will have to be respected. Without it, a musketeer costume loses its identities, charm and beauty. But instead of a pantalon, dark trousers will do. The galoshes will need to be pulled up a bit to make a small lap, and on the shins they should be tied with special garters with bows. How to do them is up to you. The main thing is that everything harmonizes and does not get out of the general stream;
- boots with boots and spurs. Here you can come up with the following. Cut out boots from cardboard, paint them with watercolors or gouache, drawing some patterns. Then attach to the child’s boots.
