Insulation "Thermofin": characteristics and temperature conditions. How to wash a jacket with insulation "Thermofin"?

Every year, ultranovy fillers for outerwear and other textile products appear on the market. Not so long ago, consumers tested Hollofiber in their socks, but the competition is doing its job, and now Thermofin, Tinsulate, Isosoft, Slimtex, Maida, Clo-star, and others are confidently gaining ground. Alpolux "and others. Each manufacturer declares that it is his material that is ultramodern, wear-resistant and made especially for low temperatures. Of course, technologies go forward and allow the creation of such synthetic heaters that are not at all inferior to natural ones in such characteristics as safety and reliability. And if we talk about the weight of products with such fillers, then they are much lighter, for example, analogues from sheepskin.

But what are the properties of the already mentioned Thermofin insulation? This article will answer this question.

Product History

Until recently, almost all synthetic heaters were imported from other countries. Accordingly, the cost of finished products was higher. But in 2009, a Russian company decided to borrow Finnish manufacturing technology and produce its own raw materials - Thermofin insulation. It uses high-quality German equipment. Production facilities are located in the suburbs. That is, everything is of the highest standard and in accordance with European standards.

Finland is a Scandinavian country where winters are no less severe than in Russia. Therefore, Finnish specialists are constantly working on various innovations that contribute to greater comfort when the thermometer needle drops below zero.

What it is

"Thermofin" (from the word "heat" and the abbreviation from "Finnish") is a textile insulation, consisting of ordinary highly curved and bicomponent fibers, with ease and thermoregulation. It is made only from primary raw materials. The bicomponent fiber consists of two elements: the sheath and the core. The latter is made of polyester molecules and has a higher melting point than the shell. Therefore, when it is placed in an oven, the shell melts and adheres to ordinary fiber, and the core remains intact. Thus, many air chambers are created inside, and the structure of the fabric itself becomes three-dimensional. Therefore, Thermofin insulation is strong and almost weightless at the same time.

Heater Thermofin

It is practically non-toxic, therefore it is especially recommended for sewing children's clothes, as well as a bedding filler for people with allergies.

Production stages

  1. A computerized system mixes bicomponent and conventional highly curved fibers in the correct proportions (15% and 85%).
  2. The mixture is sent to the container, where it is combed both vertically and horizontally. Thus, the material at the outlet is uniform, without lumps and seals.
  3. Further, everything is placed in a melting furnace, where, under the influence of high temperatures, ordinary and bicomponent fibers stick together, forming very strong compounds. The holding time is very important here, because any deviation in one direction or another will spoil the material, making it either too stiff or too loose.
  4. Sharp knives cut uneven edges in width.
  5. Finished material is twisted into rolls.

Characteristic: "Thermofin" (insulation)

  • Softness and elasticity. Since during the manufacturing process there is no need for standard processing on a calender (usually heaters are driven through hot shafts to make the material thinner and denser), the output is not a whipped and stiff, but airy and soft fabric.
  • Resistance to low temperatures. This is the most important characteristic of a heater, since if it were not for that, all other pluses could be eliminated.
  • Environmental friendliness. Most textile heaters are made from recycled materials - the results of the processing of garbage, glass, plastic, but Thermofin is made exclusively from primary material without harmful impurities.
  • Ease. This insulation is almost weightless due to the special structure of the air chambers. The canvas is produced with a thickness of 1.2 to 2.7 mm, therefore, a product with such a heater will not be bulky.
    Feature: Thermofin (insulation)
  • It has water repellent properties, does not absorb moisture and unpleasant odors.
  • Durability. Service life - 10 years or more with proper handling.
  • Affordable price.

"Thermofin" (insulation): to what air temperature does this material warm

Both demi-season and winter outerwear are sewn from it, depending on the density of the insulation (and it happens 100, 150 and 200 grams per m²). Thermofin insulation will not allow to freeze even at a temperature of -55 ° C, and this is almost the limit for mid-latitudes, not to mention average winter rates.

Thermofin (insulation): to what temperature

Autumn-spring jackets are sewn from material with a density of 100 grams per m², in which it is very warm and comfortable in inclement and damp weather. There is an additional plus: since this insulation has water-repellent properties, rain or wet snow is not dangerous for him.

Children's products

This insulation is especially recommended for sewing clothes to newborns. It is absolutely safe for the health of infants. "Termofin" even has a special certificate "Eco-Tex Standard 100" for the 1st category of goods, confirming this.

In addition, children's clothing with Thermofin insulation, in particular overalls and autumn-winter jackets for children, is especially practical to wear, because things do not create the effect of a spacesuit, but rather, the child is free to move, run, jump, play snowballs and do other winter pranks.
