Wall waterproofing materials
Materials that protect the walls from water are divided in form into:
- mastics;
- powders;

- sheet and roll material;
- films and polymeric membranes;

Material is selected depending on the initial conditions and financial capabilities. The most affordable method of waterproofing is plastering with a modified cement mixture in three layers.

The waterproofing of the walls of a wooden house is divided into internal and external. The latter is most important to ensure the safety of the walls, so they pay special attention to it. The type of external insulation will depend on the design of the house. For example, if it was decided to leave the facade of the house wooden, you can treat it with antiseptics, flame retardants, findicides and special coating treatment. And in the case when the facade is sheathed with siding, multilayer protection is laid between the external panels and the wooden walls, which provides heat and waterproofing.
Waterproofing the walls in the bathroom
The bathroom has a special microclimate - there is almost always high air temperature and humidity. Constant vaporization negatively affects the walls and floor: fungus, mold is formed, moisture literally permeates the walls through, which, naturally, affects them not in the best way. The most convenient are bitumen-polymer materials in rolls with a special adhesive base. There is a drawback of this method - it is necessary to carefully prepare the surface, level it and grind.
