Acetylene reducer is used in utilities for cutting and laying pipelines and can be divided into devices for non-combustible and combustible gases. By the way, the latter have a left-hand thread (this is necessary in order to exclude unauthorized connection of the mechanism to an oxygen cylinder). Accordingly, reducers for combustible gases are characterized by a right-hand thread, as are oxygen tanks.
