Crafts with kids: paper bat

Origami is one of the most interesting activities for children. It is simple and safe, which allows you to take folding even the smallest children out of paper figures. To make origami figures, you only need paper. Sometimes you may need scissors, glue, paints or felt-tip pens. Everything except paper is used as desired.

Where to begin?

Craft a paper bat is considered the simplest figure, and it is worth starting the mastery of origami art with it. Making it does not require much time, and the child does not get tired. The paper bat looks pretty and cute enough, it also attracts the baby, as well as the speed of making the figures. In fact, there are many assembly options. Some mice amaze with their realism and complexity. The mouse described below is much simpler than the rest.

A bat made of paper (origami, recall, involves the use of this particular material) is performed using:

  • Double-sided colored paper in black or dark brown.
  • White paints or felt-tip pens.
  • PVA glue.
  • Scissors.

The presence of glue and scissors on the list indicates the ease of crafts, because in real origami they are not used. Paints and markers can be used as desired. The finished craft is already self-sufficient.

Step 1

A paper bat is done in a few simple steps, the first of which is the need to get a square sheet of paper. In order to make a square out of a rectangle, it is necessary to bend one corner of the paper diagonally. The edges of the paper should match.

The result is a trapezoid in which one part is in two layers of paper, and the other is in one. The single-layer part must be cut off evenly along the edge of the two-layer part, then straighten the finished square. Sometimes paper is already sold as a square. The size must be at least 16 x 16 cm, otherwise the mouse will turn out very small.

Step 2

Before assembling the mouse, the necessary fold lines are outlined. The square must be folded diagonally to one and the other side from itself. The fold sheet is divided into four equal triangles, and on a square sheet a diagonal cross will be visible on the entire surface. After that, the square is bent once in half on itself and unbent. According to the intended folds, it is necessary to fold a double triangle. A paper bat is based on this triangle.

The corners of the triangle, which is located in front, bend from themselves, exactly to the middle. In front, you get a small rhombus. This will be the body of the bat. The remaining triangle is divided into head and wings.

Step 3

Now you need to flip the whole figure. On an unbent triangle, incisions are made in the form of small round ears. In the finished work, they will stand upright. On the line drawn between the ears of the mouse, you need to bend the upper corner of the triangle from yourself. Again, turn the body over to the animal.

A bent little triangle with ears is the face of a bat. It must be glued to the body, otherwise it bends. On the face with white paint or felt-tip pen, you need to draw eyes, nose and mouth.

A paper bat is ready.
