One of the means to implement this in the Var Tander is camouflage, the types and purpose of which will be discussed later.
Camouflage purpose
The reasons why certain players use camouflage for their tanks can be different. Someone does not like how the equipment looks in its basic form, while others just get tired of seeing the same car for dozens of battles (and sometimes it has to be done). The main thing is that the appearance of any tank in the game can be changed in just a few clicks.
Separately, it is worth highlighting the simulator mode. Here, unlike an arcade, enemy equipment is not marked with markers, therefore camouflage is used for its intended purpose - to mask. True, some gamers do not attach much importance to this, and still paint the technique in the most vivid colors.
Standard camouflage
The standard camouflage in Var Thunder is a tool for customization of equipment created by developers. In most cases, this is just a painting of a combat vehicle under certain climatic conditions. For example, in the game winter, desert and other similar options for the appearance of tanks are often found.
Despite some stereotypes, getting a standard camouflage for tanks in the Var Thunder is not so easy. To do this, you will have to destroy a certain amount of enemy equipment on the tank for which you want to receive additional customization options. In addition, even standard camouflage can be edited by changing its parameters such as stain size, deterioration, the amount of rust on the body, and so on.
Custom camo
Custom camouflage is created by the players themselves and, in fact, is some kind of pattern applied to the technique. Here everything is limited only by imagination. Just keep in mind that you will also have to earn this customization, but this is much easier to do than with standard camouflage. You will need to participate in battles on the technology of the country for which you want to open custom appearance options. Moreover, this option opens immediately for all tanks of the same fraction.
It's also worth saying that custom camouflage is not visible to other players. You use it exclusively for yourself. However, after making really high-quality customization of a particular technique, you can contact the War Thunder content manager and, subject to certain conditions, your camouflage will be added to the game and will be visible to everyone.
