How did the fortress appear?
If you believe the story that the developers of the game told, the impregnable fortress hovering in the air was the result of the latest technical developments of the mysterious people of Naaru, who achieved the fall of Draenor, the homeland and refuge of the Draenei, with its creation. In fact, it was thanks to this fortress that such a WoW gaming zone as Outland appeared. Initially, Naaru was supposed to use Storm Fortress as the main base from which they could make devastating raids on the opposing Burning Legion.
The huge ship, resembling a space station, could teleport to other dimensions with the warriors in it. However, after Naaru recklessly descended into Outland, the flying bastion was captured by Prince Kael , the tasus and his minions, as a result of which Storm Fortress was turned by him only into a means of extracting chaotic energy from the Netherstorm.
Fortress subzones
If you look at the structure from the side, it looks like a cluster of ships of different sizes. In each of them there are dungeons of various difficulty levels, and in the central, largest part of the fortress floating in the air, there is a raid dungeon called the Eye. It is here that players who have reached level 70 tend to get in order to get the best armor, as well as try their luck and knock out the first boss Al , macaw a magnificent mount - the hawk phoenix. From it, you can also get a combat pet - a cub of the phoenix. In addition, a variety of armor from the T5 set for all classes, which can be used for transmogrification, can also become prey in a raid dungeon.
On the side platforms of Storm Fortress you can find the entrances to Botanica, Mekhanar and Arkatraz - dungeons that can be easily passed by 5 players. Perhaps these are the best places where you can farm a huge amount of runecloth or emptiness fabric, as well as fill bags with Outland herbs.

To understand where Storm Fortress is located, just expand the Outland map and examine its upper right part - Netherstorm. It is in this zone, on its eastern outskirts, that the dungeon complex is located. When approaching the fortress, you can navigate not only directly on the map, but also on transparent pipes with chaos energy flowing into them, which stretch over almost the entire location.
How to get to Storm Fortress?
Getting into Storm Keep is not that difficult. The first way is to get to the Netherstorm zone yourself on a flying vehicle. To do this, you need to get to Shattrath, the capital of Outland, and fly north from it through Zangarmarsh and Ostrogorye, and then turn east. If the character has already studied the routes around Outland, you can contact the nearest flight manager at any point in the location and buy a flight to Kosmovorot. This settlement is located in close proximity to Storm Keep.
The second way to get to the place where the Storm Fortress is located is to go through the portal to Outland in Stormwind or Orgrimar. After the character is on the Hellfire Peninsula, you can again buy a flight from the windrunner tamer or go to Netherstorm yourself on your own flying mount.
