Granite screenings have been used for many years in construction work. In recent years, the popularity of this material has become even greater: granite screenings, or granite chips, are used in the manufacture of paving slabs, borders, small architectural forms, self-leveling floors. Granite screenings are used for the design of paths in gardens, parks, squares on personal plots. Such paths even in rainy weather look well-groomed, there are no puddles and dirt on them. Also, this material is necessary to create coverage on playgrounds and sports grounds, it can often be seen in yards and on the streets as an anti-icing agent. Sprinkling a fine fraction of granite helps to avoid slipping on roads and sidewalks, improving the situation on the roads and reducing injuries. The use of granite as an anti-icing agent does not harm the environment, clothing and shoes of residents, does not contribute to the corrosion processes of cars, which is observed when using chemical reagents. In addition, this material can be used several times: after the snow has melted and the sidewalks and roads have dried up, it can be gently swept and collected for reuse.
Often use this material in parks and landscape planning. Granite screenings come in two colors: gray and pink (red). This material is abrasion resistant and has a high resistance to aggressive environments. Natural and climatic factors have almost no influence on it: granite is not afraid of rain, drought, heat or frost. If we add an attractive appearance that does not change over time, it becomes clear why granite screenings are so popular. For the tracks, a small fraction is used: the tracks and destinations covered with small gravel look attractive at any time of the year.

In the case of using granite screenings, this takes a minimum of time and requires little money: just add some screenings to the section of the track requiring restoration, and level it. Repair work is completed, the appearance is restored.
Granite screenings are obtained by crushing large pieces of rock and their subsequent sorting and selection, depending on the fraction. Granite screenings can have sizes from 0 to 10 mm. The highest standard is a fraction of 0-5 mm. Small pieces of rock have more
attractive appearance, look uniform coating and do not cause inconvenience when walking, which is the main disadvantage of gravel of large fractions.
It is absolutely environmentally friendly material, which is 100% of natural origin. The only drawback that can be attributed to this material is its considerable cost. Granite screenings (price per ton ranges from $ 8 to $ 28) are supplied in bulk and in bags of different sizes. The price depends on the fraction and the presence of dust (dust-free material is more expensive). In addition, the delivery method and the distance to the final destination affect the price.
