Captain Britain (see photo below) is the superhero of the Marvel universe, whose real name is Brian Braddock. It was chosen by Merlin. He is the defender of Multivers and Britain. For some time he worked with MI-13.
Becoming a hero
Captain Britain was born and raised in the English city of Molden. He has Betsy's twin sister and brother Jamie. After the death of his parents, he left the family, enrolling at the University of Thames. In parallel with his studies, the young man worked in the Department of Nuclear Technology. When the River attacked his lab, Brian hurried for help on his motorcycle, but was in an accident, being mortally wounded. Waking up, Braddock saw Merlin and his daughter Roma. They offered him a life saving by choosing the Sword of Power and the Amulet of Truth. The young man chose the second, because he did not consider himself a warrior. After that, he turned into Captain Britain and was able to defeat River.
Crime control
At first, Braddock combined heroism with work in the laboratory. He prevented a number of bank robberies by becoming a "British superhero." This attracted a villain named Hurricane. Brian did not immediately defeat him because of police inaction. Captain Britain and other superheroes were hated by law enforcers.
For some time, Braddock studied in America. There he lived in a hostel with Peter Parker. But young people did not know about each other's abilities. When Brown flew home, he was telepathically affected and jumped out of the plane. After that, Braddock disappeared. Marilyn himself returned Captain Britain. It turned out that Brian lacks a part of his memory. Therefore, the wizard told him how to defeat Necromon - a machine that destroyed all the superheroes in the alternative reality. Assistant Captain Britain became the elf Jackdaw and the Black Knight. Together they saved the Other World. After this victory, Brown was killed by the White Rider, but Merlin resurrected him, returning all the lost memories.
New battle
Combining the Scepter with the Amulet, the wizard created a new uniform for Braddock. She helped in flight and surrounded the captain with a powerful force field. Soon, Brian went to an alternate reality on Earth-238 to defeat Jim Jaspers, who eliminated all the superheroes there.
However, Braddock was stopped by Fury, which turned out to be stronger. Marilyn teleported the captain's body to Earth-616 and resurrected him again. Meanwhile, Jaspers took over as prime minister and began to change London. Brian couldn't stop him again. Rage helped, arrived on Earth-616 for reprisal against the captain. Jaspers fell into his arm and was killed. It was not difficult for the British captain to defeat Fury, which was weakened by the battle.
After these events, Braddock met the metamorph of Meggan from an alternate reality and fell in love with it. They began to fight evil together, but soon Brown wanted to end his career as a superhero and start a family with a girl.
Back in service
After Captain Britain left, RCX asked his sister Betsy to take this post. It has become a worthy substitute thanks to hard training, ability to telepathy and impenetrable armor, allowing you to fly. Betsy battled Bradock’s enemies many times and nearly died at the hands of Slymaster. Only the help of her brother saved her. After this incident, Captain Britain returned, but ceased to work with the government due to distrust. Then he learned about the death of Betsy at the hands of the X-men and drank heavily. After the wedding with Meggan, Brian finally left the team.
Abilities
Captain Britain, whose biography was presented in this article, was building up his abilities gradually. At first, he used artifacts for these purposes. They gave Brian dexterity (Amulet of Truth), endurance, strength, strengthening feelings (uniform), ability to fly (Scepter of the Star) and the creation of force fields. After his defeat in the Skrull war, Braddock was resurrected by magic and could no longer use artifacts. Now the captain's abilities depended solely on his determination and willpower.
