Thanks to his father’s innate agility and training, Drizzt has become an excellent swordsman. However, the cruelty of relatives led to the fact that the hero fled. Once again, the drow raid Mithril Hall, which kills Wulfgar, Drizzt's friend and groom Catti-Brie. for many years after that, Drizzt was tormented by the dilemma of whether he had the right to be with Catti-Brie, especially when Wulfgar was reborn. The elf’s suffering ended when Wulfgar married another girl, and Catti-Brie elected Drizzt.

Friends catch up with the kidnapper, and Drizzt is forced to fight with Artemis Entreri, the sworn enemy of the dark elf. The parties disagree after Jarlax imitates the death of Drizzt.

After long wanderings, Wulfgar returns to the company. And friends set off in search of the Fang of the Protector that Wulfgar had lost.

The war of Mithril Hall flares up with Obould, the king of the orcs, who gathered a huge army. Returning with dwarves subordinate to him, Brenor Warhammer decides to separate from the main army and poison himself with his friends and the most trusted people. This ends up being in a fortified city surrounded by orcs cut off from the main military forces. Drizzt goes on reconnaissance, but the orcs denser surround the fortress, and it is cut off from friends. The drow sees the orcs breaking through the defenses and breaking into the city. Drizzt, confident that his friends are dead, becomes furious and slaughter orc tribes at night.

After these events, Drizzt Do 'Urden, whose adventure books are popular all over the world, joins Captain Dudermont, who is trying to defeat the lich Arklem Grit, who heads the Main Tower of Witchcraft in Luskan and helps the pirates.

Drizzt and Deudermont eventually manage to destroy the lich’s physical shell, depriving him of power. Deudermont is appointed ruler of Luskan. But because of the conspiracy of the High Captains, he perishes, and all power goes to this society. Drizzt and the surviving satellites of Duderman manage to escape from the city. Despite the fact that the rulers of the city suffered heavy losses, the Tower of Witchcraft is still intact, and falls into the hands of Valindra, a disciple of the defeated Lich.
