Buying a TV is a responsible task. A comfortable pastime in front of multimedia equipment depends not only on its technical characteristics, but also on its location. Saving space and trying to originally fit a new item into an existing interior, users decide to fix it on a vertical surface using the wall-mounted TV bracket. The main thing here is to choose the right mounts in accordance with your wishes and the characteristics of the equipment.
Functional Mounts
The bracket allows you to mount the TV on any vertical surface (most often on the wall), as well as on the ceiling. Through this fastening, the equipment can be placed anywhere in the room, thereby saving free space and achieving the most comfortable viewing. The TV wall bracket is most often used to solve problems:
- Save space in the room.
- Safe installation - the equipment will be protected from shocks, shock, inaccessible to children.
- Functional installation - subsequently it will be possible to change the angle of inclination and rotation of the TV.
Each bracket is characterized by certain qualities and may consist of several elements. The simplest types rigidly fix the TV on the wall. More complex mounts have tilt and swivel functions, as well as electronic controls.
Simple mounts
Fixed is the easiest TV wall bracket . It rigidly mounts the multimedia tool on the wall. Thanks to its simple design, it has a low price, can be used with any kind of equipment. Its important advantage is high reliability, which is due to the minimum number of components.
More complex is the tilt bracket. In addition to its mountings, its design includes horizontally located awnings that allow you to adjust the position of the TV in a vertical plane. The maximum angle of inclination is usually 20 degrees. The price of
a wall-mounted TV bracket is slightly higher than that of fixed types, but they are not inferior in reliability. They are purchased in cases where the equipment is installed relatively high and plan to change position for viewing.
Sophisticated Bracket Types
The tilt-swivel type of mounting is one of the most complex and makes certain installation requirements. Such elements allow you to adjust the position of the screen in vertical (up to 20 about ) and horizontal (up to 180 about ) planes. But for their installation you need more space between the wall and the back of the TV. The main disadvantage that the rotary TV wall bracket has is its high price.
Ceiling views can be called a special kind of fixtures for equipment. They allow you to adjust any position of the TV, rotate it 360 degrees, but can only be used in rooms with relatively high ceilings.
Mount Features
The main characteristic of the brackets is the “compatible diagonal”. It determines the size of the TV that this mount will fit. Manufacturers of fasteners indicate the maximum and minimum diagonal in the data sheet - the dimensions of your TV should be between these values.
The maximum allowable load determines the weight that the wall mount for the TV can withstand without deforming. This parameter is the most important - if you choose it incorrectly, you risk breaking your television set. This parameter should not be less than the mass of your equipment, plus 20-30% for the stock.
Destination
There are three main types of TVs - LCD, plasma and cathode ray tubes. For each type of television receiver, you must use the bracket designed for it.
Mounts for plasma TV sets and wall brackets for LCD TVs are practically no different. The exception is only the maximum permissible mass - in the first species it is much larger. In addition, elements for "plasmas" are made of a more durable material and are, as a rule, somewhat more expensive than ordinary ones.
Despite the almost complete absence of CRT TVs, devices for fixing them can still be found on the market. Their main difference is the presence of a remote bar, on which there is a remote board. This design becomes necessary due to the tube.
Fastener Standards
All modern TVs on the back wall have a special board with holes for fixing the bracket. The size of the holes, the distance between them and the geometry of the arrangement are standardized and are given in the VESA normative documents. All modern TV wall mount brackets meet VESA standards.
In total, there are seven standards that govern the maximum permissible mass of the television receiver, the location of the holes and the type of bolts. You can get detailed information from the table below.
In order to choose the type of fastening correctly, you need to find out which of the standards your equipment belongs to. You can find out detailed information from the data sheet of the device or from the technical manual. And remember, only by choosing the wall bracket for the TV correctly, you can guarantee reliable fastening of the device on the wall.
