"Drowning in greenery." This is how the name of the seaside resort town of Kiten is translated into Russian. Bulgaria, or rather its Black Sea coast, where the Kiten resort is located, is one of the most beautiful places in this country. The modern city of Kiten (Bulgaria) is located on the site of the settlement of the ancient Thracians who lived here in the 5th century BC. e. Much later, in these places, the Romans built a fortress and a transshipment base of Orudiz (Urdoviza), the ruins of which have been preserved, and today you can see them. Before Bulgaria fell under Turkish rule, Urdoviza was a small settlement, mentioned in a number of historical sources.
