Installation of console sliding gates
Sliding gate structures are driven by a mechanism (rail guides and roller system) manually or automatically. Installation work can be divided into the following stages:
- Foundation laying. The base for the mechanical drive, consisting of roller bearings and guide rails, is installed on the side of the doorway (outside the roadway). In this case, the length of the foundation is taken equal to half the width of the entrance fence, the depth should not be higher than the level of soil freezing. A channel and wiring for the automatic gate system are laid in this base. Cables are laid under the carriageway - it is necessary to lay wiring to power the control mechanism, signal and photocells. You also need to install a remote antenna. In the case of existing fence fences, to strengthen the gate, it is necessary to install mating posts adjacent to the inside.
- Assembly of the console construction of the sliding gate. As a rule, assembly and installation instructions are attached to the product upon purchase, however, common points for cantilever fences can be noted. So, the door leaf should be rigid (not bending under its own weight), the height is usually provided below the fence by 10 cm.The optimal counterweight (cantilever part, which is located outside the driveway) is about 50% of the width of the doorway.
- Installation of fencing. The fastening of the guide rail to the web frame is recommended to be carried out gradually using a weld, which is performed intermittently in a checkerboard pattern. In this case, a preliminary primer of the elements must be carried out.
