Each mother sometimes spoils her little princess, buying her a new elegant dress. I want the baby to look spectacular, cute and romantic. However, it is not always possible to purchase dresses as often as we dream. It can be difficult to choose the right outfit, for example, when it is impossible to find beautiful models of dresses for full girls or for women who are too tall. Those mothers who have at least a little sewing experience have long found a way out of this difficult situation. It’s easy to cut and sew a children's dress with your own hands, even for those who have never done it.
We sew a summer dress ourselves
1. For work you need to find a suitable fabric. Try to take now trendy colors "polka dots" or "check." It is better to choose light material (chiffon or chintz). Synthetics for a baby dress is the worst option, as the baby will be too hot. You will also need six buttons (preferably large size and bright colors). Show your imagination, because the positive result of your venture depends on the choice of fabric and accessories. Of course, do not forget to prepare the irreplaceable attributes of the tailor: a sewing machine, needles, cardboard, thread and scissors.

2. So, we take the necessary tools and sew a summer dress ourselves. First you need to make the correct pattern. To do this, we draw a half of the back on cardboard. The next detail will be the front of the dress, which will consist of three parts. Each of the elements must be performed in duplicate. To do this carefully, fold the fabric in half. Thus, we get the "mirror" side. The last detail of the dress is the sleeve. We outline two copies of this pattern element, also the front and the back of each. The sleeve size is calculated based on the size of the previous parts.
3. It remains to transfer our patterns to the material. To circle the contour, it is better to use ordinary soap. From him subsequently there will be no trace. We take scissors and carefully cut out each detail. You need to cut it out by adding one centimeter to the seams from all sides. When finished, the ironing over the seams is ironed.
4. Next, we take a typewriter and sew a summer dress ourselves. We begin to sweep the front elements of the outfit from the wrong side. Then we sew the back. You should have a long sleeveless vest. We outline where the loops and buttons will be located. We sew future loops.
5. Next, sew the sleeves. To do this, first we twist the edge of the pattern twice, then we sew to the vest, collecting it a little on the shoulder. Using an overlock, we sweep the edges. Then we sew the seam along the length of the sleeve. We do the same with the second sleeve.
6. It remains to sew a skirt to the dress. We measure the desired length on the fabric, sew on the side, overcast, and then sew the summer dress ourselves, sewing the skirt on the finished vest. When sewing, we collect a little fabric so that the skirt fits more naturally.
7. Our product is almost ready. We sew beautiful buttons and sew over everything that we still forgot to overcast. Now you know how to sew a summer dress from chiffon or chintz, spending only a few hours on painstaking but creative work.
