In the construction of buildings and structures, builders, among other things, use various kinds of auxiliary structures that allow you to perform work quickly and efficiently. One of these devices are forests. Structures of this type are mounted next to the objects being built in order to ensure the ability to perform work at heights. Further in the article, we consider what inventory forests are and what sizes they can have.

Two main varieties

Two types of scaffolding can be used in the construction of buildings and structures:

  • inventory;

  • non-inventory.

The latter type of construction is rarely used by builders. Such forests are made according to arbitrary drawings. According to the regulations, they can only be used if permission is received from the chief engineer. In addition, forests of this type may not be installed to perform any work at a height of more than four meters.

In the manufacture of non-inventory (home-made) structures, of course, all necessary strength calculations, allowable loads, etc. must be performed. If a worker is injured or dies during any operations on such scaffoldings, enterprise managers may be deprived of their liberty under Article 143 Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Self-made scaffolding is used by construction organizations, so it is very rare and only in special cases. Much more often, in the construction of structures and buildings, inventory structures of this type are mounted.

Design and regulations

Inventory forests are manufactured according to standard designs. The use of designs of this variety is allowed only if they have all the necessary passport documentation. In the manufacture of typical scaffolding, strength calculation is mandatory:

  • each component of an individual element;

  • the whole structure as a whole.

When performing such procedures, those responsible use the basic indicators provided for by the standards with which the results of the verification are checked. Significant deviations to a greater or lesser extent are considered unacceptable.

Such structures are assembled right at the place of work and are structural spatial structures, the height and dimensions of which can be different depending on the type of work performed. The main elements of inventory forests are:

  • flooring;

  • support racks;

  • end fences;

  • frames with stairs.

Also, the frame of such structures consists of horizontal and diagonal stiffeners. Used in the production of various kinds of construction work can inventory forests internal or external. But most often during the construction of buildings such structures are still assembled from the side of the street.

Types of structures

Most often, in the construction of buildings and structures used inventory tubular forests. Such auxiliary structures are reliable, easy to use and easy to assemble. They are made, as can already be judged by their name, of metal pipes. The most popular varieties of such forests are four:

Depending on the maximum permissible load, forests of different types can be used, in fact, for construction work or only for finishing.

Rules for installation and dismantling of inventory forests

On how strong and reliable such a design will be, the safety of performing work at the height of specialists depends. When installing scaffolding, of course, you must follow certain standards and technologies.

Complex Forests

Before performing this procedure, the place of construction or finishing works is fenced with tape. Installation of inventory forests can be carried out only on a leveled soil or asphalt foundation with a width of at least 3 m.

Actually, the scaffolds themselves must be mounted with the exact observance of the instructions provided in the passport. During the assembly of the frame, it is imperative to check the verticality and horizontalness of the elements of its structure.

At the joints, inventory scaffolds should be attached to anchors and thick steel hooks embedded in the wall masonry. The boards on the girders and crossbars during the assembly of such structures are stacked without nails. However, they must be fixed on the frame with special wooden planks or metal brackets fixed to them from below.

Of course, floorboards should adjoin each other as tightly as possible. The gap between the wall and the shield must be closed.

It is allowed to start dismantling forests only after all work has been completed on them. They begin to carry out the dismantling of such structures from the upper tier. Scaffold elements are lowered using blocks and ropes.

When assembling construction inventory scaffolds, three types of quality control of work are performed:

  • input - completeness check;

  • current - monitoring compliance with installation technology;

  • acceptance - verification before operation.

Permission to operate the scaffolding collected at the construction site is given by a commission, which includes the chief engineer, the assembly manager and the person responsible for safety. It is only possible to begin construction or finishing work on the scaffolding after completing the act of their delivery / acceptance.
