Benefits of foliar top dressing
Now more and more foliar supplements are being used. Their advantage is that through the leaves the beneficial substances that we want to transfer to the plant are absorbed faster. Therefore, such top dressing is carried out in the case when you need to urgently make any element or correct the situation with the state of the plant. In just two days, the result of top dressing will be noticeable. Foliar application of beneficial substances has a rather long-lasting effect. The result lasts about two weeks.
Why is the process faster? When fertilizers are applied to the soil, the plant still needs to pick up nutrients from there. Such phenomena as overdried soil or its overmoistening can prevent this. In this case, the plants practically lose their ability to absorb the chemical elements necessary for growth and development. As a result, fertilizers, money, time, effort were spent, and the result was zero or minimal.
And according to the principle of action of root top dressing, sometimes there is less benefit than harm. Not only are they absorbed by this method of application by only a third. Salt compounds formed from such fertilizers react with their own kind, as a result of which they precipitate and lose their mobility.
Chelated fertilizer action
With foliar top dressing, trace elements, an analogue of our vitamins, fall on the leaves. Microdoses of beneficial substances improve metabolism, photosynthesis. But you need to give the plants exactly the dose that they need. For them, both the shortage of such substances and their excess are fatal. Fertilizers of the Norwegian company Hydro called Kristalon help solve the problem.

The Kristallon fertilizer contains microelements in a chelate form. These are organic structures that are easily used by plants. That is, the body takes metals only after they acquire a chelated form.
In order to make it easier for them to do this, scientists have come up with a method of supplying trace elements to plants in a ready-to-use form. They almost completely dissolve in water, are not blocked by soil, do not enter into antagonism with their own kind. Scientific studies have shown that the result of foliar feeding with chelates is 20 times higher than with conventional feeding through the soil.
Fertilizer description
The Kristallon complex fertilizer is completely soluble in water. It contains substances necessary throughout the entire life cycle: nitrogen for growth, phosphorus for the formation of roots, fruits. Qualitative maturation is promoted by potassium.
Destination
Where is Kristallon fertilizer used? Its use is justified for root and foliar top dressing of all types of plants: vegetables, flowers. It can be used in a greenhouse and open ground.
Period of use
"Crystal" is used from February to August. In winter, they are used in greenhouses to feed vegetables and seedlings. Home decorative plants and flowers are fed. From May to July they are used for top dressing in fields, gardens and in greenhouses. In August, the main method of application is foliar application.

Kristalon fertilizer is sold in plastic containers and bags. The weight of one package is 20, 100 and 800 g. Bags are packaged in 25 kg.
Types of "Crystal"
Developed and produced drugs balanced by basic chemical elements (NPK). They are intended for top dressing in various growing conditions, whether it is ordinary chernozem, perlite or mineral wool. So that the buyer does not have to think for a long time what composition to take for a particular plant, packages with fertilizers are signed with his indication.
Fertilizer "Crystal" yellow (with a yellow logo on the packaging) is intended for use on wet clay soils. Accelerates the growth of the ground and roots. Advantage in the composition of phosphorus compounds.
“Crystal” red is a fertilizer that contributes to a generous flowering and, accordingly, a rich harvest. Used to feed strawberries, pumpkin and onion crops where there is a lot of nitrogen.
"Crystal" white with the advantage of potassium compounds in the composition is intended for various vegetables and flowers during flowering.
"Crystal" blue contains equal parts of nitrogen and potassium compounds. Their number significantly exceeds the compounds of phosphorus and magnesium. Use before flowering in all crops.
A special (green) “Crystal” is a fertilizer designed to replenish the reserves of all useful chemical elements. Contains shock doses of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compounds. Develops plant roots.
"Crystal" brown contains a large amount of potassium. It is used in the second half of summer. Use for sheet spraying.
"Crystal" orange, which, like the previous one, feeds plants with potassium, is used immediately after flowering. Spray the leaves.
"Crystal" scarlet contains an increased amount of magnesium. Use for all types of plants.

Application Rate
How to use "Crystal" (fertilizer)? The method of application for indoor flowers consists in watering during the development period. Use up to 10 g of the product in 5 liters of water. In summer, you need to feed each time during watering (once a week), in winter - two times a third.
Transplanted flowers are fed with yellow “Crystal”. It helps to quickly form a developed root system. Leafy plants are fertilized in summer with Kristallon blue, in winter with white.
Blooming feed red, which improves the quality of flowers. Cacti are watered with the same preparation in winter.
To feed seedlings with a solution (1 g per liter of water) is treated once a week. Use "Crystal" yellow. It provides plants with phosphorus reserves for the entire period. Therefore, the following top dressing is carried out with drugs, the level of this element in which is insignificant.
Vegetables and flowers in the greenhouse are treated during each watering in such a concentration as indoor plants. Up to 20 g of the drug is dissolved in 10 l of water. In open ground, feed twice a month.
How to carry out sheet top dressing using "Crystal" (fertilizer)? The method of application consists in treating with a sprayer with any type of nozzle at the rate of 1 g per liter of water. The amount of fertilizing is determined by the condition of the plants.
Yellow "Crystal" improves the root system, blue is treated until flowering. White is sprayed with flowers during the opening of the buds. Red increases the shelf life of the fruit. But the last time is processed no later than two weeks before harvest.
Foliar top dressing, like watering, is best done in the evening. You can add drugs to the solution from diseases and pests.
