What do you need for sewing?
The list of necessary tools and materials in order to sew the toy "Cat Simon":
- pattern (large, small, any);
- paper (preferably denser);
- pencil, marker, pen (what is at hand);

- white tissue for the eyes (use the same material as for the whole body);

- any filler (synthetic winterizer, synthetic winterizer, holofiber, grain and so on);

- tailor scissors (or ordinary);

2. Cut out all the stitched details, stepping back from the seam by about a couple of millimeters if you are sewing a toy from fleece fabric, if from another - a little more.

4. Now you need to turn out a stitched, but not yet finished product. To do this, make small cuts in the following places:
- on the face, where you plan to sew eyes;
- on the tail, from the side where it will be sewn to the main body.
5. Unscrew all parts carefully so that the cuts do not open. You can use the back of a pencil or a wooden stick.
6. When all parts are turned out, it is necessary to fill them. To do this, push small portions of stuffing into the body and tail. Stuffing is necessary quite tightly. Particular attention should be paid to the far corners of the ears and fingers, and also do not forget to highlight the belly of a cat.
7. After you have filled and smoothed everything, the cuts must be sewn up. Remember to use thread to match the fabric. Darn should be a hidden seam.
Stitching parts
When all the parts are full and the cuts are sewn, you can completely sew the toy.
Tail
It is sewn to the body on the side where there was a cut for eversion and stuffing. It is best to sew it in a stitch in a circle. So it will be more reliable and aesthetic.
Eyes
- We attach two circles to the muzzle and fix them with pins.
- Under the circles we put a little stuffing so that the eyes are embossed.
- Sew the eyes with a white thread. Sewing is better in the style of "over the edge."
4. We make pupils from beads. In order to have less thread, sew the beads with one thread, then bring the bundle to the place where the nose will be.
Simon's cat's face
Until the completion of the creation of the toy, there is very little left - to make a muzzle. But this step also requires great accuracy in actions, like all previous work.
You will also need a little imagination. After all, your cat can smile, frown, or even show your tongue!
To get a face like in the picture below, follow the instructions below:
- Mark the main points of the future face. To do this, you can use pins or a special disappearing marker, if any.
- Take a tight thread, preferably a floss. Insert two layers of thread into the needle. Then fold it widow again. As a result, you will sew in four layers of thread.
- Make an eye contour. To do this, thread each eye with a “back needle” stitch.
- Next, sew the nose with a new thread. Each new stitch should fit snugly against the previous one.

Cat Simon for adults
For a change, you can make a toy boy. The pattern of Simon's cat with eggs differs from the usual one only in additional elements.

- We also cut out two round circles, which in size will be no smaller than the eyes.
