The Sports Palace " Megasport " (Moscow) is a huge and unique building, which is located on Khodynsky Boulevard. The construction has a color scheme in the form of the Russian flag. Description
The arena of the sports complex is quite multifunctional. It adapts to any sport: it becomes a sports ground for the competitions in basketball, volleyball, handball, tennis, rhythmic gymnastics and boxing. This is not an entire list of cultural activities. The Sports Palace "Megasport" on Khodynsky can provide its arena for organizing competitions in twenty varieties of sports. The building was built and opened on December 11, 2006. Several memorable events have passed since that moment:
- Channel One Super Bowl - Euroleague, hockey competition.
- The final of the League of European Volleyball Winners.
- Children's hockey match of the Orion Golden Puck home team.
- The World Hockey Championship is the most important competition of 2007.
- World Figure Skating Championships, which took place in 2011. Initially, the event was to be held in Japan, but after the earthquake - moved to Russia, Moscow.
The sports complex has a medical center, whose doctors assist athletes in injuries or rehabilitation. When there are no sporting events at the Sports Palace, gala concerts and exhibition halls are organized there. Athletes have large locker rooms, drying chambers, showers and massage rooms. To always be in shape, in the sports complex the guys were equipped with two gyms for warm-ups.
The first floor of the Sports Palace is completely occupied by an ice rink, on the second is the lower tier of seats for spectators (for 5 thousand people), on the third - a government box, places for VIPs, commercial lodges, and a box for journalists, and on the fourth - the upper tier of seats for viewers (for 8600 thousand people). In total, the sports complex accommodates 14 thousand visitors.

How to get there
