Alushta is a town in the southern part of Crimea with the corresponding geography of a sub-Mediterranean climate: it has warm long summers and short winters when the temperature rarely drops below 0 degrees.
This place is considered one of the best resorts in Russia, not only because of the weather. The city is washed by the beloved Black Sea, and the coastline is as much as 80 km. Shale-type sand prevails here, there are also coasts with pebbles and with large boulders that are characteristic of wild shores. And from here follows the following advantage of almost any resort town - anyone can choose a beach to their liking: where it is less crowded and quiet or, conversely, more noisy and festive. In some places you can simply swim for free, in others a full range of services, entertainment and cafes is provided.
We will consider the beaches of Alushta with a photo below in the article. It will also provide descriptions and recommendations.
Central beach
Of course, this is the most favorite place for tourists and locals due to its availability and free of charge. The second name is "Affectionate Beach". The beach is located in the city on Parkovaya Street, so it is easiest to get here. Nearby is the famous urban rotunda. There is also a developed infrastructure: there is an aquarium, a dolphinarium, a lot of services and entertainment. For example, a lot of cafes, toilets, changing rooms, deck chairs, attractions. Safety for vacationers is provided: there are doctors and lifeguards. It is also very convenient that there is a specially designated place for the disabled, where you can go down into the water with the help of handrails. And not far from the "Tender Coast" - a beach near the promenade of Alushta, which is considered a continuation of the first, but much narrower and smaller.
Perhaps this place has significant drawbacks. There are a lot of people here during the open bathing season. The beach is literally crowded during the day, and drunken and noisy companies can also be found. And the following minus follows from this - on the beach you can find garbage. Those wishing to relax here are advised to come in the morning in order to have time to take convenient places, and also not to leave trash after themselves.
Professor's Corner
This place is considered the second most popular among people. Located in the western part of Alushta relatively close to the Central beach, it is a sanatorium zone. The length is 2.5 km. The entire line of the Professor’s Corner is divided into smaller sections separated by breakwaters. The shores are predominantly made of pebbles of different sizes, there are also sandy beaches, for example, the beaches of the sanatoriums Dnepr, Zhemchuzhina, Alushta, and Sea. Tourists can also please themselves with rest in the nearby Almond Grove water park.
The Professor’s Corner has a rich history. At the end of the 19th century, a geologist and hydrologist settled in this place to conduct research and establish a water supply system for enterprises. Many more scientists and professors began to come here, and that is why this name comes from here. The professor’s corner turned out to be comfortable for living; houses and summer cottages began to appear. And I especially liked the shore located here.
Fishing camp
Located 4 kilometers from the city. Has fewer people than in the nearby Central Beach. However, there is an interesting feature - there is practically no coast, and the sea immediately begins. But any vacationer can sit on the pier and from there go down into the water. There are water activities, a cafe, but there are no sun loungers.
Royal beach
Located in the east of Alushta. The mouth of the Demerdzhi River also originates here. Due to the small size of the city, many beaches here are next to each other, so you can quickly get here through the "Tender Beach".
The coast is pebble, there are sun loungers, toilets, cabins. The beach is not as crowded as Central. And nearby is a special picturesque place - Seaside Park. Here you can find about 60,000 different types of plants, trees and bushes! As well as the house of Staheev, which was built at the end of the XIX century.
"Children's" beach
This place is so named because it belongs to the Center for Creativity for children and adolescents. It is also located near the Central Beach - within walking distance. It is less crowded, but there is no infrastructure, since entertainment and cafes are concentrated on the territory of the "neighbor".
Beaches of resort villages
For those who want to relax from the bustle of the city, there is the opportunity to go to more remote beaches from Alushta. Reviews of tourists about them are also quite positive. Many people notice that in such places that belong to resort villages, there are fewer cleaner beaches and water than in the city, but there are all the amenities. Such beaches include, for example:
- P. Privolnoe. Located 50 kilometers from the city. It is fenced by the mountain plateau of Karabi Yayla. There are two large beaches. One of them is the Kanak beam, 2.5 kilometers long, and 300 meters wide. Another beach is Katran, whose name denotes a species of small Black Sea sharks. These places are suitable for those who like to relax savages: with tents, spending the night under the stars or in cars. The beaches, however, are not wild at all: the water warms up quickly, there are pebbles and sand, you can rent sunbeds, ride catamarans, and the village itself is located nearby.
- P. Cliff. A picturesque place to relax, as it is located in a green bay, and nearby there are local "attractions" - the rock "Three Sisters", a fountain source and even a water park. There is also a developed infrastructure, entertainment for adults and children, cafes and much more.
- Urban village Partenit. It is located in the west of Alushta near the Ayu-Dag mountain or, in other words, Bear Mountain, whose age is 160 million years. Once it was a volcano, but it froze, remaining in the ground, turning into a hill (at the moment the height is more than 500 m above sea level), similar to a lying bear. The village itself is generally surrounded by mountains from almost all sides, and as a result, in rainy seasons they contribute to better weather than in Alushta. Partenita is only 30 years old, but there is already developed infrastructure on the beach, entertainment, an existing sanatorium, residential buildings. And of the sights besides the mountains are Cape Plaka, the dolphinarium, the palace of one famous princess.
- There are many other villages where you can go for a swim in the sea. For example, Satera, Semidvorye. There are also beaches of boarding houses in Alushta. Entrance to them is sometimes free.
There are also beaches of Alushta hotels. But they, as a rule, are valid only for guests. But the quality is guaranteed: clean water and the coast, the absence of garbage, few people, sun loungers.
Wild beaches
There are also places weakly touched by man. Here you can retire and have a good rest. Water and beaches are usually clean.
- Love Bay (Monkey) is a favorite beach of many vacationers. It is located between the villages of Rybachye and Malorechenskoye. The lagoon has a curved shape, and it was formed as a result of the action of a volcano. Getting here is not so easy, but you can rent a boat and sail by water.
- There is a wild beach east of the previously mentioned Cape Plaka.
- Chernov stones near the Professor’s Corner - divers often swim here.
The list does not end there. Often it is very good to relax in such wild beaches that are located between two villages.
Instead of a conclusion
We examined the most famous beaches of the city of Alushta. Central, Professorial Corner - the most favorite and easily accessible of them. More private are the private beaches of numerous resort villages and hotels in Alushta. But for lovers of wild relaxation, there are even more deserted, inaccessible places. The main thing is that everyone will be able to find the most suitable beach for him in Alushta to their taste.
