If you look at one of the popular search engines, how often Internet users ask a question about what the spiritual world of a person is, it becomes even surprising how important this topic is. It would seem that it could be simpler: just turn to the religious "spiritual pastors" and get all the answers from them. Well, someone, and these people should definitely know what is hidden behind the term "spiritual world of man." Alas, when it comes to something intangible, not everything is so simple ...
The main problem is that so far there is no clear definition of the concept of "the spiritual world of man." As a result, each person chooses the interpretation closest to him and adheres to it in the future. Let us assume: different, often opposing, points of view on the question of what the spiritual world of a person is, because the subject itself is too multifaceted to be “squeezed” into some framework. Pascal also said that our knowledge cannot have an end, since everything studied is infinite.
All interpretations can conditionally be divided into two broad categories: idealistic and materialistic. According to the first, the spiritual world is a manifestation of a consciousness objectively existing beyond the bounds of the material world, and independent of man. Religion, in particular, considers the issue from this perspective. The second category represents it as one of the manifestations of higher nervous activity, that is, there is no person - there is no spiritual world.
To make it more clear what is at stake, we can give a simple example that every person faces - a dream or, more precisely, a dream. Despite the fact that people have dreams since their appearance, there is still no definite answer to this question. In materialistic science, it is generally accepted that a dream is a product of the mind, one of the manifestations of brain activity. That is, everything that happened to a person during the day (including thoughts) that affected him, after falling asleep, continues to be processed by the brain, since the excitation in neurons does not disappear immediately. The result is a dream in which you can often guess familiar objects, people, situations. By the way, it is also part of the spiritual world of man, from the point of view of materialism. In parallel with this, one can often find the statement that during sleep the intangible component of a person (soul, etheric body) temporarily leaves the body and travels the worlds. Accordingly, everything that a person sees in a dream is real.
In turn, the spiritual culture of a person is really a part of the personality. It is a combination of the norms of behavior acquired by a particular individual, moral principles, knowledge of laws, languages, customs, etc. In general, it includes both personal and socio-social non-material aspects of life. In part, thanks to spiritual culture, an integral personality of a person is formed, a balance is created between the desire to know the intangible planes of being and the physical world. Understanding of art and creativity, self-expression - all this is based on spiritual culture.
Sometimes, to simplify understanding, its components are indicated. These include religious culture (identification of oneself with a certain course), pedagogical and intellectual (the ability to comprehend new knowledge and share it with others), art (this is the creative principle of each person), moral and legal (it is the basis that allows organically exist in a society like individuals).
Spiritual culture has been formed for many millennia, moreover, its particular manifestations depend on a person's belonging to any nation, self-identification.
