Raffaello - a rose that looks great in a bouquet

In recent years, a rose has become common in flower shops, which has a rich coral color, combined with a delicately creamy shade on the petals located in the middle of the bud. It is most often used in bouquets. And it is called - the rose of Raffaello.

Description

This flower is considered one of the hybrid tea varieties. Raffaello is a rose that was bred relatively recently, in 1990 by breeder from Ireland Samuel McGredy. She has a very pleasant and light aroma. Raffaello is a rose with up to thirty petals in one bud. She has her terry and opens very slowly, and only seventy percent, thereby providing good resistance to the flower, which retains its beautiful shape for a very long time.

Raffaello Rose

The bush of this rose is vigorous and erect. It is up to one hundred and twenty in height, and about eighty centimeters wide. Her foliage is matte with a dark green tint. Raffaello is a rose well suited for cutting. In addition, she looks great in the garden and on the garden. This wonderful plant blooms profusely, several times, delighting its owners throughout the season.

Grade Features

Raffaello tolerates winter frosts very well, but for her you should still choose only those areas where there is enough light and little wind. The variety is distinguished by a tall and lush goblet bud, the height of which, subject to agricultural regulations, can reach a height of eight centimeters. Very often in bouquets you can find Raffaello. A rose stands in a vase for up to twelve days, which is considered a fairly long period for flowers.

Landing

Experts recommend planting this variety in warm sunny places, preferably where there are no cold winds. Raffaello is a rose that prefers moist and well-drained soil with an acid-base reaction in the range from 5.6 to 7.3 pH. The landing pit must be prepared in accordance with the size of the earthen coma, so that the roots of the plant are located freely. Depth should be made at least fifty centimeters, so that there is a place for drainage of sand and gravel.

Rosa Raffaello

Do not allow stagnation of water. Raffaello is a rose that grows well on a soil mixture consisting of manure (three parts), a fertile layer (two parts), sand (two parts) and peat (one part). The best time for planting is considered the beginning of May, because by this time the soil is already warming well.

Raffaello Rose Care Tips

Before planting, seedlings should be held in water. This procedure is especially necessary when the root system is open. It is enough to leave the seedlings in the water for six to eight hours. If there are damaged shoots on the roots, they must be removed. It is better to shorten the processes, and cut the weak parts so that only the strong ones remain. This ensures faster growth of the plant.

Rosa Raffaello Description

Raffaello roses must be regularly fed. They also need constant weeding and watering. The choice of complex fertilizers for this plant in stores is quite widespread. Usually, top dressing is carried out in the spring and somewhere in the middle of July. Watering should be plentiful - usually twice a week. In the spring, pruning of rose bushes should be carried out before the buds awaken on them. For winter, it is advisable to harbor a rose. To do this, as a rule, it is enough just to fill the bushes with peat to a height of twenty centimeters, and in spring the earth around them should be leveled.
