However, the choice of this kind of foundation for the home largely depends on what exactly you are going to build. If everything is done correctly, the columnar foundation for the frame house is rare in strength. Unfortunately, it completely eliminates the digging of the underground. But it can be erected even on unstable soils, without using a concrete pillow, and in the case of construction on a hillside, this option will be the only right solution.
Columns for it can be made of brick, concrete, or even wood treated with special compounds. This design is characterized by maximum strength, speed of construction and resistance to environmental influences. But how to mount it correctly? First, preparations should be made for the construction. At the place where you plan to place the columnar foundation for the frame house, it is necessary to completely remove the top layer of the soil, going deeper into the ground by about 20-30 cm.
After this, you need to mark the location of the foundation. Then we drill wells with a diameter of about 0.3 m and a depth of at least 1.75 m. We pour about 0.2 m of high-quality crushed stone into each well. On a crushed stone base we install a pipe with a diameter of at least 0.2 m, compacting the outer perimeter with clay. During this process, the pipes forming the columnar foundation for the frame house should stand strictly upright.
We pour concrete into the pipe and raise it slightly so that the spilling mixture forms a solid foundation. After this, we pour concrete again, if necessary, raising the pipe to the height that the calculation of the frame house involves. Mark the height with a stretched cord or laser pointer, as perfect accuracy is required. After that, concrete can be poured into the pipe, leaving a gap of 15 cm near the upper edge. After filling, insert the reinforcing bar into the concrete, and then wait until the entire structure has strengthened.
