Blanks

Before you create a tea house from newspaper tubes, a master class on the creation of which you will see later, you need to learn how to make blanks. Necessary materials:

  • Newspapers.
  • Scissors.
  • PVA glue.
  • Knitting needle or skewer.

How to make tubules:

  1. Cut one of the pages of the newspaper into equal strips 9 centimeters wide.
  2. Twist each strip diagonally by inserting a spoke inside. This is necessary so that the tube does not lose shape.
  3. Fix the tip with glue. You do not need to grease the entire strip. Otherwise, due to the rigidity of the weave it will be difficult.
  4. Make some of these blanks.
  5. Now the tubes can be painted in the desired color, but the craft will not become worse if you postpone it until the completion of all weaving.
  6. To extend the sticks, put glue on one end of the tube and insert the other.

Bottom weaving

You need to be able to create a good bottom - this will be taught by a master class. A tea house made of newspaper tubes should stand firmly on the table. So how to make a bottom:

  1. Put three straws together. On top of them there are three more: a cross should result. Put glue at the intersection.
  2. Make one more such cross and stick it to the first one so that you get a six-pointed star.
  3. Take a long tube and bend it in half, wrapping around three adjacent tubes.
  4. Skip the top side under the three main tubes. And the lower one above them.
  5. So weave the first row.
  6. Then weave 3 rows, passing through the two main tubes.
  7. Next, you need to bind through one tube until you reach the desired diameter.

Another variant:

  1. Take 16 tubes.
  2. Lay them out with a cross in four pieces, slightly gluing together.
  3. Take the long tube and fold in half.
  4. Wrap it in one of four pairs.
  5. From the first to the third row weaves like this: skip the upper side under the four subsequent tubes, and the lower one above them. Then turn and do the same on the other side.
  6. Third row: the working tube does the same thing as in the last step, only weaving two tubes, not four.
  7. After several such rows, begin to braid one tube, not two.
  8. Continue to the desired diameter.

Base

The master class “Tea House from Newspaper Tubes” approaches the most interesting part - creating the walls of the house. Working process:

  1. Take a round shape and put on the bottom. It can be a jar or a mug. The main thing is that it be slightly smaller than the diameter of the bottom.
  2. After one, lift the tubes up along the form, secure with a clothespin.
  3. Weave three rows on the remaining tubes. Just skip the handset from above to below.
  4. When done, hide the end from the bottom.
  5. Tuck all sticking sticks, glue with glue. When everything dries, carefully cut off the excess.
  6. Make the walls as in the third step using simple weaving. The tea house, the master class on the creation of which you are considering, each turns out to be unique. After creating several rows, cut a hole for bags suitable for you with a clerical knife. You can cut windows.
  7. Weave a braid of three tubes and glue to the place of cut.
  8. Make the walls to the desired height, approximately 20 rows.
  9. Start gradually narrowing, first braiding two tubes, through several rows of three and so on.
  10. Fix the end of the working tube with glue, dry and cut off the excess.

Roof

The tea house is almost ready. Weaving from newspapers (our mini-MK is close to completion) leads to the creation of a roof. What to do:

  1. Put a sheet of paper on a shoe box, draw an angle that will be a guideline for the roof. Mark on it several points, the distance between which should be about a centimeter.
  2. Insert the ducts into the points - these are the racks.
  3. Take the tube that will be working and begin to weave it around the racks.
  4. Insert a suitable triangular shape to braid it.
  5. When the roof is ready, remove the racks and bend the protruding tubes, glue, cut off the excess.
  6. Put on the house and fix it with glue.

The master class “tea house from newspaper tubes” is over. It remains to color the craft, if you have not done it before, and decorate. Glue the label of your favorite tea over the hole. When you better master the weaving technique, you can experiment with the shapes of the roof and base.
