A driver's license is a document that gives the right to drive a vehicle to its owner. As you know, there are a huge number of varieties of cars and equipment. They differ among themselves by the number of seats for passengers, weight and the presence of additional elements that increase the amount of cargo carried. In order to allow the driver to control only certain types of transport, categories of rights were established.

Category A
To control motorcycles and other two-wheeled mechanical vehicles with an engine capacity exceeding 50 cubic centimeters, the grant of category "A" rights is required. Scooters, sidebikes and motorbikes also belong to this type.
Category "B"
Cars with their own mass not exceeding 3.5 thousand kilograms, as well as the number of seats less than 9, fall under category “B”. Among these cars you can see cars (such as a sedan), station wagon hatchbacks, crossovers and jeeps. Also, this number may include some minibuses that meet the above requirements.
Category "C"
The management of trucks weighing more than 3.5 thousand kilograms intended for the carriage of goods requires the driver to have category "C" rights. They also include cars with a trailer, the mass of which does not exceed the limit of 750 kilograms. This category does not include vehicles intended for the transport of people.
Category "D"
For the transportation of a large number of passengers, it is required to surrender to the category “D” license, which is necessary for driving vehicles, the design of which provides for more than 9 passenger seats. This category applies to buses of any mass and structure.
Category "E"
Automobiles and convoys of vehicles that do not fall into any of the categories require the presence of rights of category "E", which is issued only in conjunction with some other. Thus, typologies of BE, CE, and DE appear. Such categories of rights allow you to drive a vehicle of the appropriate type with a trailer, tractor or train.
Loss of a driver’s license does not deprive categories. Information about their availability is stored in the database of the traffic police.
