Material selection

For an internal cover it is recommended to choose very strong fabric and inexpensive. The filler will fall into it.
The following materials can be used:
- satin;

- raincoat or mattress textiles;

- Filler - for one chair you will need about 300 liters of filler. This volume weighs 1.5 kg (so do not buy 10 kg packs of polystyrene foam).

- Below is a product pattern. It must be transferred, according to the dimensions, on graph paper. If necessary (if the chair is sewn for a child), you can proportionally reduce the pattern.
- According to the prepared patterns, we cut the material. 1.5 cm should be left for the allowances. You should have 6 wedges of the main part, 2 - the bottom, 1 - the upper part. All parts are ready for the outer case.
- Repeat the procedure on the fabric selected for the inner cover.
- Details must be swept away. At this point, consider placing a zipper. It is recommended to sweep it in the lower part of the product. So she will not spoil the appearance of the model. Zippers should be on both covers. This will not only promptly wash the upholstery, but also add filler if necessary.
- Now we sew parts with reinforced threads using a sewing machine. All bastings should be removed. To give the product durability, two lines should be laid. Edges are best treated with an overlock.
- Now fill the inner bag with filler. This procedure is best done without children and animals. Polystyrene balls can easily electrify and can scatter throughout the room. They are very dangerous if they get into the respiratory system! If the balls still scatter, collect them using a vacuum cleaner. But to avoid this, it is recommended to fill the filler through a watering can, a paper funnel or a plastic bottle with a cut bottom.
- Do not fill the bag to the eyeballs. Remember that the beauty of this design is that it perfectly adapts to the shape of the body. Therefore, the filler must be filled in 2/3.
