Mushrooms: black and white: description and photo

It is considered to be very rare to find red mushrooms in the forest. This is a kind of tubular species called Boletus luridus, growing in deciduous forests and forming mycorrhiza with oaks and lindens. Mushroom dupe can be confused with white due to external resemblance. The fruit body has a dense fleshy pedicle and a rounded hat. But there are a lot of differences, the main thing is the blue flesh on the cut.

In many areas, you can increasingly find a bitter analogue - Boletus radicans. But it has several other forms and is more reminiscent of an overgrown mushroom. Places of distribution are the same as that of edible brethren. Below is the bitter mushroom of the dupe (photo 2).

The edible mushrooms of the cowslips begin to grow relatively early - from the end of May and the beginning of June. Then there is a break for two months, and at the beginning of August and before frosts they appear again. They are much less common than other tubular species. It is a great luck to find them in the foliage more often. After all, mushrooms have an pleasant taste and excellent aroma. And they are also very fond of forest rodents. And if you are lucky enough to find an uncooked boletus, then this can be considered a double luck. Usually, mushrooms are covered with an already bitten leg.

The leg is a cylindrical barrel of bright yellow color with a distinct reddish mesh over the entire surface. The diameter reaches 2-5 cm, and the height is only 4-12 cm. The duvet is very stocky and dense. At the point of contact with the ground, the leg is slightly thickened and has a very dark reddish hue, sometimes brown or black. The pulp is also red at the base, higher, closer to the hat, it is yellow. When notched, it turns green and then turns blue. Has a subtle characteristic aroma.

The duvet can have different shades of the hat: from light olive to bright orange, often yellow, brown, sometimes even red. The surface is smooth, without wrinkles, dry, velvety to the touch. In old fruiting bodies, it becomes naked, when pressed, blue prints are clearly visible. At the very beginning of growth, the hat is firmly pressed to the leg, its edges are bent down. Later it opens a little, but always remains spherical, rounded, with a yellow tubular lower layer. In the largest specimens, the hat diameter reaches 20 cm, but usually the dimensions are much more modest - from 7 to 12 cm.

Spore powder is dark yellow. The tubular layer is 15-25 mm long. The pores are free, olive hue in maturity, the young mushroom is bright red, when pressed, they turn blue.

Edulis mushrooms are edible, they are used in fried and boiled form and for the preparation of sauces. After boiling, the first broth needs to be drained, re-cooking is necessary for 10-15 minutes.

According to some sources, cooked overalls cannot be combined with alcohol.

When processing Boletus luridus, the same bluish coating remains on the fingers. According to the blue flesh, the dupe can be distinguished from its double - boletus. The outlines of the mushrooms are very similar, but the colors will not allow the experienced mushroom picker to mix them up. White never has a grid pattern on the leg, while the boletus has it clearly expressed, and the red grid is superimposed on a yellow background. The pulp is also a lemon shade, and the mushroom itself belongs to the bluish tubular.
