In the historical center of Nizhny Tagil on the shores of the pond of the same name is the Central Park of Culture and Rest named after A.P. Bondina. Today it is the largest cultural and entertainment facility of the city and one of the favorite places of citizens. Over 400,000 people visit it annually.

Lord's garden
It was laid, according to historians, in 1806. Moreover, the idea was such that the garden looked like a single ensemble with the house of Messrs. Demidovs.
In the 20s of the last century, a summer theater entertained guests in the garden. It often toured visiting theatrical groups and showed films.
In the 30s, the garden became the center of the cultural life of the city. Mass celebrations are held here, a reading room, boat rental, a restaurant, a hall for fans of checkers and even a children's technical station are opened. And in the middle of 1935, the Ural Zoo brought its animals here.
At this time, walking alleys were decorated with stands with portraits of the heroes of the labor front, sculptures of “girls with an oar”, busts of Lenin, Marx, Stalin and Engels. And on a lot of billboard stands posted announcements of upcoming events.
On July 26, 1946, the grand opening of the monument (the work of M.P. Kramskoy himself) to the local writer A.P. Bondin takes place in the garden. And a year later, the park is assigned his name.
The park in which the writer has lived the last few years of his life is still open in the park complex. This is the Bondin Memorial and Literary Museum.
In the 2000s, the park was updated with metal sculptural compositions. Tagil sculptor Alexander Ivanov depicted an anthropomorphic ant with a shovel - "Worker ant" - and "Dragonfly" - it sits on a lantern in the form of a dandelion. New attractions appear and a private contact zoo opens.
Description of the park
It stretched from the Tagil Kremlin (today it is a museum of local lore) to the building of the local diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church and the circus along the Tagil pond. The length of the park is about a kilometer, the widest place is 200 m, the area is just over 11.5 hectares. The complex has five entrances, several large alleys. The western part of Bondina Park in Nizhny Tagil is a beautiful grove of maples, larch, birch and blue spruce. In the shade of the trees there are summer cafes and small attractions. In this recreation complex the only Ferris wheel in the city.
The eastern part of the park is newfangled. It has several welded sculptures, as well as a stepped (cascading) fountain. It descends from the main entrance to the complex to the main square of the park.
Two surviving ancient merchant houses are occupied by the administration. They are located around the perimeter of the park and overlook Uralskaya Street.
There are several public transport stops near the park and convenient access roads for personal transport.
Rules for park guests
The administration of Bondina Park (Nizhny Tagil) urges all visitors to the recreation complex:
- Take care of the plantations in the green part of the park.
- Comply with generally accepted norms and rules of conduct in public places.
- Do not damage the decoration elements of the park, attractions, designs of children's playgrounds, buildings and other structures.
- Contribute to maintaining cleanliness in the recreation complex.
- Follow the rules for use on the children's playground and attractions.
In the park it is forbidden:
- Smoking (for this there are three zones: poplars, near the main entrance and behind the pier).
- Walk the dogs.
- Travel by car without a special pass.

Infrastructure
Today TsPKiO is divided into recreation areas. Separately organized children's town with funny figures and carousels for kids. There are several cafes, summer verandas, wide alleys and narrow paths for walks of lovers. There are many water activities on offer: catamarans, boats, barges, boats and a floating veranda.

On weekends, a walking barge, a boat and even a floating terrace-cafe depart from the park's pier. For lovers of high-speed driving there is a technique and faster.
In the cold season, Bondina Park (Nizhny Tagil) also has something to do. Here they organize a snow town, the center of which is a three-meter descent. There are smaller slides for younger guests. In the town you can not only ski, ice, cheesecakes, ice skates and snow scooters (all this can be rented nearby), but also take part in various winter activities and game programs.

There are a lot of urban-scale festivals in the Central Park. But there are special ones. For example, on July 30 this year in the park, the “Live, Baby” charity foundation organized a children's holiday - the “Happy, Airy” campaign. Incendiary performances of invited groups took place on the main stage of Bondina Park in Nizhny Tagil, Professor Zvezdunov fascinated children with an exciting scientific show. A foamy little disco passed, followed by a “flight” on a huge parachute. To create a festive atmosphere, the children were invited to apply face painting and make the most gigantic soap bubble. And towards evening, hundreds of kites flew into the sky.
Among the invitees were children with disabilities, children from single-parent or low-income families, and temporarily unemployed citizens who had difficulty preparing children for school.
Throughout the holiday, fund volunteers received stationery and other items necessary for study from all comers. More than 300 children received very necessary gifts by the beginning of the school year.
Rides
Today in the Bondina park in Nizhny Tagil (photos are presented in the article) more than 20 municipal attractions. The oldest of them is the Ferris Wheel. Children under 12 years are only allowed with adults. The carousel is 26 meters high. The rides “Whirlwind”, “Waltz” and “Hip-Hop” are popular. Dad with children love to ride a bike. The smallest guests of the park are waiting for the “Children's Rainbow” engine, helicopters, a fairy-tale fungus, and the “Junga” boat. Trampolines
There are three of them in the park. One - sports - for children and adults (but weighing no more than 70 kg). There is also a Safari for collective entertainment and an Aquarium. On the first, 6 people can ride at the same time, on the second - four.
Writer's House
The Memorial Literary Museum was opened at the end of November 1959. In the memorial part of the museum, the atmosphere of the writing house was recreated during the lifetime of the museum workers. Museum guests have access to a prosaic office and a living room.
Many years later (in 1982), the exhibition halls of the museum were opened in the annexed building. In the expositions “The History of the Literary Life of Nizhny Tagil” and “The Life and Work of the Writer A. P. Bondin” one can see genuine manuscripts, draft sketches and books by famous Tagil authors. Since the 90s of the last century, participants in the walls of the museum have gathered members of the literary studio Steps. The museum also has a children's literary lounge, as well as the Coworking youth club.
In addition to permanent exhibitions, the museum also hosts temporary exhibitions on a wide variety of topics.
The house of the Ural writer is included in the list of historical monuments of regional significance. It is a construction of two one-story houses under one roof and is a typical representative of the wooden architecture of the Middle Urals of the XIX century.
