Master class: do-it-yourself camomile from foamiran (photo)

Chamomile is a modest wild flower, which is recognized as a symbol of the holiday of family and fidelity. It has been officially celebrated since 2008. Since then, many newlyweds have been organizing “camomile” weddings, choosing these flowers for decoration of dresses and hairstyles of the bride, banquet hall and various accessories. Of course, nothing can compare with the creations of nature. However, fresh flowers have an important drawback - they quickly fade, so wedding designers believe that a camomile from foamiran is better for decoration purposes (see the master class below).

Material properties

Abroad, foamiran is known as FOAM EVA. This abbreviation stands for foamed ethylene vinyl acetate. Foamiran, which is sold in Russia, is mostly made in Iran, which is reflected in its name (FoamIran). Sometimes there are also products of Chinese enterprises.

Today you can buy foamiran of different thicknesses, colors and densities. Although this material has a poorly expressed porous structure, it is characterized by low water permeability, therefore, finished products are not afraid of moisture. In addition, they do not get dirty and do not wrinkle at room and low temperatures.

DIY camomile from foamiran: what you need

Making crafts from this material does not require special tools and devices. It is enough to have a pair of compasses, scissors and an iron on hand to heat parts from foamiran so that you can give them the desired shape. Some masters recommend using a curling iron, as its temperature can be adjusted.

You will also need a ruler, oil pastel and glue (a hot gun or a special composition for working with foamiran will do). You also need to have a pencil and a protractor on hand.

The process of making a bouquet

In order for a chamomile from foamiran (micron see below) to be used to create a bouquet, it is necessary that she has a stalk and leaves. Then it will be easier to combine in compositions or use when designing hairstyles. In addition, the flower itself can be made somewhat differently than the previous workshop offered. Chamomile made of foamiran made in this way will turn out to be more lively and natural. The work is performed in the following sequence:

  • make patterns for future flowers, cutting circles with a diameter of 7, 4, 4.7 and 6 cm by wavy curly scissors ;
  • make incisions towards the center so that the petals come out;
  • wrap a finger with a damp cloth and drive on a dry pastel first green then yellow;
  • tint the middle of the blanks to get the most natural chamomile from foamiran (master class, photo and information on the necessary tools and materials for making flowers without tinting using the Strip method, see below);
  • they apply the petals to the iron, and they themselves are wrapped in the way they like;
  • a strip of yellow foamiran 1.5 cm wide and 20-22 cm long is cut into small fringe, greased with glue and rolled up into a tube;
  • loop at the end of a piece of wire;
  • bend it at right angles;
  • stick on it a core of yellow foamiran;
  • holding the workpiece by the wire, apply for a few seconds to the iron so that the cores open;
  • 3 cm diameter circles are cut out of green foamiran;
  • cut them and heat the ends with a curling iron or iron;
  • cut narrow elongated leaves of different sizes.

  • string a foamiran green glue;
  • fix the base with glue;
  • wrap the wire with tape tape;
  • stick leaves of different sizes;
  • if there is a desire, connect two flowers in a twig, wrapping them together with a teip tape.

Strip method

The next master class “Camomile from foamiran” offers the creation of a flower in a different technique. The procedure is as follows:

  • take yellow foamiran and cut a strip of 7 cm in length and 1 cm in width;
  • 2 strips of 1.2 cm and 3 cm wide and 9.5 cm and 30 cm wide, respectively, are cut from the same white material;
  • cut the longest strip along the upper edge with denticles, and the shortest strip with a small fringe;
  • they heat the iron and apply all three stripes to it in turn, waiting for them to curl up and fall off;
  • they take a toothpick, drip a little glue on it and begin to wind all the workpieces onto it in turn, starting with the yellow strip;
  • chamomile petals wound with manicure scissors ;
  • break off a toothpick;
  • cut out leaves;
  • apply them to the iron;
  • using a toothpick make veins on a leaf;
  • stick the leaves to the finished camomile.
