For several years now, the so-called “Schengen visa regime” has been operating for Russian residents. This means that with one Schengen visa issued by one of the countries participating in the agreement, you can visit not one, but several countries. However, when applying for a visa, it takes into account which country you plan to stay most of the time.
The Dutch Visa Application Center operates not only in Moscow, but also in Kiev and Minsk. The services of an intermediary are very convenient for residents of those cities of Russia who find it difficult or impossible to come to the embassy on their own. An ordinary tourist visa does not require an interview, therefore, the Dutch Visa Application Center will be able to submit documents and receive a passport with a mark without your direct participation.
In principle, Holland is not the most loyal country for obtaining a visa precisely at its embassy. For example, if other countries ask to prove their solvency at the rate of 50 euros per person per day in order to get permission to enter, the Netherlands requires an amount multiple of 100 euros (per person per day). If the main purpose of your trip will be “a country of tulips and free love,” you should contact the Dutch Visa Application Center. In addition to the account statement, you will need to fill out a questionnaire, provide two color photographs of high quality, as well as a certificate from the place of work, which should indicate not only the position, but also the term of work at that place and the size of wages.
If we are talking about a minor child, then most often embassies require a certificate from the school and the availability of a
sponsorship letter, as well as a copy
of the birth certificate. The situation is more complicated if only one of the parents is sent with the child: in this case, a
notarized power of attorney for the removal of the child and its translation into English or German should be submitted to the Dutch visa center. In the event that a teenager or child travels with someone else or alone, it will be mandatory to provide a power of attorney and consent of both parents (also with a certified translation). The child’s profile also requires the signature of the parents (or guardians). When applying to the Dutch Visa Application Center, you will also need to have with you an insurance policy in the amount of 30 thousand euros. By the way, this is an important document and you should not treat it negligently: treatment in the EU countries is very expensive and in case of health problems you will have to (if there is no insurance) pay for it from your pocket.
If for some reason you cannot use the services of professional intermediaries and apply to the visa center, Holland provides the opportunity to independently register (via the Internet) at the Embassy for a visa. You can also apply for someone who will travel with you (without his presence), if his passport has at least two used Schengen visas.
This is also an important circumstance: the more Schengen visas are in your passport, the easier it is to obtain another permit.
The Holland Visa Application Center in Moscow will not only help you draw up documents correctly, but also provide advice in difficult cases, for example, if you had a refusal before or you are not a citizen of Russia. If you are traveling on your own, and not through a travel agency, you will need to have tickets and a booking confirmation (usually a printout of the reservation from the site is enough). Most often, a visa is issued for a period exceeding that specified by you in the request. If you asked for a visa for ten days, it may well be issued for a month, which will provide you with additional opportunities to travel around Europe.
