Dolphinarium on "Semenovskaya" was considered one of the best places for families with children. Families came here to enjoy the performance of animals and to feel the atmosphere of the sea and fairy tales. For many years, unusual artists delighted the audience with their talent and skills. Unfortunately, the Moscow Dolphinarium at Semenovskaya was closed.
Where was
The complex was located in the building of the Olympic Aquatics Center. Here Utrish Dolphinarium occupied several pools. One large was intended for animal performances. In others, the artists rested and practiced.
The Olympic Center is located at st. metro "Semenovskaya", st. Mironovskaya, 27. The building was under reconstruction, but it was not planned to resume the work of the dolphinarium after the opening.

The center has long been in disrepair. Overhaul was necessary for almost all rooms and the facade. Inside, there was a danger of falling ceiling structures. The dolphinarium was closed due to the threat to spectators and workers to be under the rubble.
Even then, the authorities admitted that after the repair work the dolphinarium would not return here. The Olympic center will be used only for its intended purpose - teaching children to swim and preparing young athletes for competitions.
So it happened, now in the center there are swimming pools that are intended only for sports. Dolphinarium at "Semenovskaya" is no longer working.
Reasons for closure: version II
In 2009, everyone in the capital was hearing the situation with the raider seizure of the Utrish Dolphinarium. On this occasion, numerous rallies and meetings were held.
Nevertheless, the dolphinarium has new owners. Employees who worked for many years could not come to terms with this state of affairs, the new rules and quit.
In their place, a new team was urgently recruited. Basically, the newly arrived workers had no experience in caring for such animals, and the consequences were not long in coming. Some dolphins and seals have died.
At this time, it is announced that the building is in an emergency and the complex is closing. Over time, the old owners manage to protect the rights to the dolphinarium, but the authorities do not extend the lease in the building of the Olympic Center.
The remaining animals were taken to other branches. Utrish Dolphinarium is still closed. On this occasion, disputes and conflicts still occur. And only the audience regretfully recall the bright and beautiful show programs.

Spectators still admire previous concert programs held at the Olympic Aquatics Center. Dolphins Mars, Tina and Kolya performed tricks that artists in other dolphinariums cannot repeat.
Experienced trainers added new numbers to the program, so regular viewers had to be surprised again and again. Walrus Vasilisa made even the most serious adult visitors laugh. All guests were conquered by her charm.
Spectators noted that the action lasted about 40 minutes, some numbers went smoothly into others. Even young children did not have time to get tired of the show and were interested throughout the performance. Some guys came out with exclamations that the concert program ended quickly and I want to continue.
Show programs here were considered one of the best in comparison with foreign dolphinariums. Parents liked that there were small attractions near the center, and at the end of the performances, the children could still ride on the carousels.
Dolphinarium at "Semenovskaya" carried out rehabilitation work with children who are suffering from cerebral palsy. Therefore, its closure also damaged this category of the population.
