Still very rarely in our areas is there such a well-known medicinal plant as a multiflorous one. Its other name is the Solomon seal (given to him for the original shape of the flowers). This is a plant of the lily family - a herbaceous perennial. He has a fleshy, creeping white rhizome.
The multi-flowered kupena has slightly curved stems. Their height can reach 60-70 cm. On each of the stems oval, opposite leaves of saturated green color are alternately located. They grow in two rows. The leaflets reach a length of 10-12 cm, and a width of 4 cm. This plant has axillary flowers, arranged in 2-5 pieces. They have a funnel shape. In length, these tubular flowers grow to 1.5 cm. The perianth has 6 denticles. The color of the corolla is white and cream. On the limb it has a greenish tint. The flowers have almost no aroma. After flowering, gray-black berries are formed in their place, reaching 1 cm in diameter. At bought multiflowered flowers bloom in May-June, and in August the fruits ripen. Every year, the aboveground shoot dies, leaving a rounded depression on the rhizome. From them you can determine how old the plant is.
In the wild, bought multiflorum grows in Eastern and Western Siberia, the European part of the Russian Federation in deciduous-spruce forests, less often in pine. Most often it is found on the lawns between shrubs. In the highlands bought a multiflora grows on the northern slopes.
The plant does not like arid places. The flower belongs to medicinal herbs. It has hemostatic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic properties. All its parts are poisonous, therefore it is better not to engage in self-medication with the help of a multi-flowered one. In the gardens of Europe, this plant has been bred for about five centuries. This procedure can be carried out both in spring and autumn. Despite the fact that the purchased multiflorum grows best in well-lit areas, it also develops well in shaded flower beds. It is best to plant this plant on light, fertile soils. Kupena, the cultivation of which does not present any difficulties, needs regular watering, weeding, 2-3 fertilizing with complex fertilizer, and cultivation. This plant is responsive to mulching the soil with fallen leaves. Recently, breeders have bred several garden forms bought multi-flowered. These hybrid plants can have simple, semi-double and double flowers. There are varieties with pink inflorescences and leaves with cream stripes.
