Grandma’s cemetery is located in the North-Eastern district of the city of Moscow and covers an area of more than 11 hectares of land.

The necropolis was formed in 1913 near the city of Losinoostrovsk, later renamed the city of Babushkin. In 1960, the territory entered the administrative border of Moscow and was included in the list of metropolitan cemeteries.
Next to the graveyard is the temple of the martyrs Adrian and Natalia, founded around 1914-1916.
On site number 10 on the left side of the central alley there is a special place - the mass grave of soldiers who died during the Second World War.
Burial places
At Babushkinskoye cemetery lie many famous personalities. Among them is the national artist of Russia - Vadim Zakharchenko. This is a famous actor who played in such famous films as “Resident's mistake”, “Quiet Don”, “Missing Expedition”. In total, he has over 150 roles.
Here are the graves of Heroes of the Soviet Union:
- Kuchumov Alexander Mikhailovich - Major General of Aviation, on whose account more than 200 sorties;
- Grishin Alexei Nikonovich - lieutenant colonel, who made 378 sorties. He was also involved in about 50 air battles, thanks to him at the end of the war 13 enemy aircraft were shot down;
- Shcherbakova Arsenty Arsentyevich - lieutenant colonel who supervised the preparation and transfer of the regiment across the Dnieper on October 2, 1943.
Today the Grandmother’s cemetery, intended for family burials, belongs to the State Unitary Enterprise “Ritual”. Address: 129347, Moscow, Yaroslavl highway, possession number 52.

Grandma's cemetery: how to get
It is more convenient and best to get to the churchyard from the VDNKh metro station. Walking to the final destination will be problematic, so it is advisable to use public transport.
Leaving the metro station, you must wait for the bus following one of the routes: No. 172, 136, 903 and 244. You can also take the trolleybus No. 76. For those in a hurry, we recommend using the services of a fixed-route taxi at number 675.
The necropolis is located on the Yaroslavl highway, and it is simply impossible to drive past it. The large area of the churchyard looks very modern and comfortable. The administration has equipped the Babushkinskoye cemetery with all the necessary ritual services relevant to visiting the graves. A complete list is available from employees. Key services include free rental of equipment and watering plants. For the convenience and relaxation of visitors, special places are equipped on the territory, as well as shops specializing in the sale of ritual products and flowers.
