Descendants of the Chimer, excellent magicians and extremely skilled archers - the names of the Dunmer Morrowind are always associated with incredible adventures and unexplored secrets. Once upon a time they were no different from the Aldmeri, but after the mysterious circumstances that resulted from the eruption of Red Mountain, their appearance underwent major changes. This is the only people whose representatives were able to become living gods.
Appearance, characteristics and names of Dunmer
Representatives of this race, like other measures, separated from the ancient people of the ancestors of all measures - altmers. Initially, the Dunmer names were Chimeric. They acquired a modern look by the end of the First Era. Three great heroes, led by the legendary Nerevarin, were able to overcome the onslaught of the enemies, but because of unforeseen circumstances they became gods. For this, the Aedra were punished by the entire Chimer people, making their skin dark and their eyes fiery red, after which they became dunmeres. Dunmer names are very similar to Latin and Biblical, which confirms their divine roots.
Dunmer society
The peoples of this race live in a clan system. All Dunmer are divided into several "houses". There are great houses and small ones. This was due to the cultural stagnation of the Altmers. Chimeras separated from them, starting the formation of independent tribes. Thus, the appearance of 5 great and 7 small houses. Before the events of the third part of the game The Elder Scrolls, they worshiped three living gods - Almalexia, Sota Sila and Vivik. With their deification, the Dunmer stopped bowing to the Daedric princes. The whole culture after the eruption of the Red Mountain was subject to enormous changes. All old temples were destroyed, worship of the "ancient gods" was banned.
Dunmers rarely make conversations with representatives of other races. They do not like to contact other measures or people. They are the only people using slave labor.
