How to Choose a Water Filter

Mankind has long paid great attention to water. We are all well aware that without water there is no life on earth. Dry grain can lie in the ground for years, but only grows when moisture appears, which lives in the grain. Despite the fact that water is the most necessary and common substance on earth, its distribution throughout the globe does not occur evenly. So on the African continent and in Asia, the amount of water is very small. There are vast areas of dry desert land. Even countries live on imported water. So Algeria in order to fully provide itself with water brings it from other countries. Water is also delivered to some coastal areas of Greece. Often there water is more expensive than wine. According to United Nations estimates, since 1985, 2.5 billion people around the globe have begun to experience severe shortages of drinking water.

Water in the human body

We know that man is 65 percent water. Embryos are 97 percent water. In a healthy body, an equilibrium of water balance is observed. During aging, the water content in the body decreases. In order for the water balance to be normal, we need to consume up to 2.5 liters of water daily. But not all water is healthy. It has long been known that tap water is not acceptable for use raw in the body. Theoretically, you can assume that the tap water comes to you, fully complying with GOST. But, unfortunately, everyone knows that when they reach us, the water will become polluted again, both physically and informatively. This is due to the condition of the pipes and paths. It should be defended, filtered and cleaned. This is a long process that takes a day or more. We have to stock up on containers in which water settles and purifies. It is troublesome, uncomfortable and not entirely hygienic. Fortunately, there is a way out in the age of technology. These are a variety of water filters.

Pitcher Type Water Filter

How does it work.

Poured water into the jug flows by gravity from one tank to another, while it is filtered through a layer of sorbent.

Pros.

This type of filter does not require connection to a tap, it is very easy to operate, It does not require the presence and control of a person during cleaning. Suitable for office, apartment, cottage, premises in which there is no centralized water supply.

Minuses.

The degree of purification is slightly lower than that of water purifiers that are connected to the water supply. The volume of purified water is the same as that of a jug (usually 1 - 2.5 liters). If you need more water, you will have to fill the jug 2, 3 or more times.

Water purifier nozzle for faucet

How does it work.

This water purifier is simply put on a faucet. Water passes through it.

pros

Low cost. Small dimensions (convenient for water purification on trips).

Minuses

Unfortunately, the volume of the sorbent is very small, because of this low productivity (0.3 - 0.7 l / min) (if you are told that the water can be filtered out faster - do not believe this is not possible). You will also have to use containers for storing filtered water. You will constantly turn off and connect the filter to the tap, if it is not equipped with a switch.

The filter which fastens on a sink

How does it work.

The filter is not worn on the tap itself, but is located nearby, the filter is attached to the tap with a flexible hose, the water passing through it is filtered.

Pros.

Good performance of pure water, (1 - 1.5 l / min). There is no need for a separate container for filtered water.

Minuses.

Takes up extra space at the sink. Unfortunately, this filter needs to be constantly connected and disconnected after each filtering.
