CRJ-200 - Passenger Airlines Aircraft

The Bombardier CRJ-200 was developed and used for regional flights over short distances. The rights to manufacture this aircraft were obtained by Bombrdier, which acquired the shares of Canadair.

Landing and first acquaintance with the cabin

Given the fact that the liner is narrow-bodied, it is able to accommodate a small number of passengers. Seats can be from 40 to 52, depending on the configuration of the cabin. Leather seats, located 4 chairs in a row, are separated by a small passage. They have a fairly impressive distance from the front of the standing chair. This is a big plus for tall people. The interior is made of hypoallergenic, completely safe and environmentally friendly materials.

The airline can order an individual interior color. But in any case, every detail will be done with taste and will appeal to passengers who have chosen this flight for the flight. The front seat has a small pocket in which there is a detailed diagram of the CRJ-200.

The aircraft does not have a clear toilet, it can vary depending on the configuration of the side. If the vessel is designed for 48 passengers, then a buffet is mandatory.

Landing is accomplished by a flow ladder built into the door. It is located in front of the aircraft. Rising, you can see the cockpit. For greater safety, each side has an additional emergency exit located in the center section.

Description of the aircraft CRJ-200

This airliner is a modernized version of its predecessor, called the CRJ-100. The difference between the models is not significant. Only the power plant that was installed on the CRJ-200 changed.

This narrow-body aircraft is used by local airlines. The aircraft has a small diameter body, which has received a large elongation. To achieve the best performance in aerodynamics, the nose is very elongated. The ship itself is designed according to the low-wing scheme with a pair of engines fixed in the rear.

External cladding is a load-bearing element, which is typical for liners created by design like semi-monocoque.

The single-tail plumage got a T-shape. The chassis consists of three legs, the rear ones are the main ones. It is on them that there are two brake wheels, which during the flight are located in the trolley.

The vitreous wing of the caisson structure attracts special attention, has an ultramodern mechanization of the trailing and leading edges. Aircraft "Bombardier" CRJ-100/200 has always been available with vertical wingtips.

The main power units are CF-34B1 engines. They were placed only on airplanes CRJ-200, which favorably distinguishes them against the background of an older model, which boasts CF-34A1 engines. Their production is engaged in the global giant General Electric. The engines of both liners are located on pylons in the rear of the hull.

The history of the creation of the CRJ-200: aircraft for short distances

Work on the implementation of the idea to create this line of passenger liners began in 1976. Canadair was able to purchase drawings for the development of the future production aircraft, having bought all the rights from LearJet. The future Challenger 610E has not undergone modernization, due to which it should have significantly added to the length of the fuselage. The new board would accommodate 24 passengers, but he was not destined to make his first flight. The project remained unfinished, and all work on its implementation ceased in 1981. But the idea itself continued to live.

Return of the legend

In 1987, they started talking about the creation of an extended aircraft, and in the spring of 1989 the construction of Canadair Regional Jet airliners began. Despite the fact that all the work was done by Bombardier, which bought back Canadair shares, the names of the planes remained unchanged.

In 1991, 3 prototype CRJ-100s were launched. They managed to demonstrate an incredible result, achieve minimum aviation fuel consumption and maximum efficiency from powerful power units. It was succeeded to receive certificates by the end of 1992. Then began the delivery of the first shipments. Until August 2006, 938 pieces of equipment were created, which included the CRJ 100/200. There were also contracts for the creation of eight winged cars. One of the best in its class was the CRJ-200, reviews about which were only positive. Not only engineers were delighted with the regional airliner, but also people who treasure their own time and travel short distances.

The technologies by which the CRJ-200 was created were gradually outdated, and their further production became impossible. To replace the jet aircraft built by the Canadian company Bambardier, I had to seriously work on projects for new turbocharged airliners, which became the Q400 NextGen.

Specifications

The length of the liner is 27.7 meters, and the wingspan is just over 21 m. The crew consists of two pilots and two flight attendants. The number of seats for passengers varies from 40 to 52. The maximum weight during take-off is 24,000 kg. The optimum flight speed is 810 km / h.
